My lap times are ranging from the :20.XXX to :22.XXX
The CLK-LM I think was my quickest or the AUDI...

Oh well, better I find out now rather than on Saturday.

Out of the cars I tested there, it was only one or two that hit the 20.XXX mark.
The others were around 21-22.XXX

All my practice has been with ABS off... I should stick with it for the race.

My new lap time of 1:18.3! (ABS ON though)

Mixed feelings about that race.
It was always going to be a struggle for me considering the Hard tires were 3+ seconds a lap slower than the Mediums, so all I could do was keep it tidy, and hope that others run into trouble and need more pitstops than me.

When we finally got started my race and strategy was pretty much finished by the first corner.
The race started and before I even get off the grid I was in the wall; I had no idea what happened, but I had damage that needed to be repaired.
Checked the replay afterwards, hmm.... Makes for interesting viewing...

From there on I think I drove reasonably well which I'm happy enough about. Only made 1 small error with a spin in the low speed hairpin but didn't hit anything and no damage done. Brought it home for 5th.

I ran some laps afterwards on the Medium tires, just to see the speed difference and after 3 laps did a 1:17.8, which I think is equal to what Bonus said his fastest lap was. That is also 3 seconds faster than anything I did on the Hard tires. With practice I'm sure more time could have come out of that.
So I think I got screwed with the tiered tire regulations this round. Plus I was the only person on Hards, so I didn't have anyone to compare to.

So overall, not a great race for me, but oh well.. Seido had a good win, well done mate.

Yer flood not a good track for hard tires. i got to grips with this car on the med's in qualifying and got into the 117's for the first time, could keep it on the track as the tires went off but had to concentrate to keep it fast. didn't feel right being so far ahead of you flood, should be the other way round or a bit more even. It is one of my better tracks but not that much better. Great run Seido and moon you had the pressure on and in the end through a drop out glitch distraction putting me in the wall (thanks aussie) and my own mistake later i threw it away. sweaty day here, good racen all

Sorry about that Flood, I should have thought that you were the only one on RH tyres. Looking back, you should have been on RMs.

How about we all run RMs for the next round at Spa. So everyone please test on those and post up your lap times. Hopefully we can get some prac runs together before the official prac on race day. Then we can see how we all compare and have a few short races.

Round 4. Spa. 19/11/2011 ( 2 weeks to set and prac!)

Thanks to those who raced today.

The race begun late and was reduced to 58 laps from 66 due to Aza and Aussieman having mechanical problems 1 min before the race start time. (the stewards decided not to penalise lol)

X-moon on poll, Bonus 2nd and myself 3rd. There was a big mess up behind when the lights went green.
I run wide on the left hander after the tunnel on lap 1 and bumped x-moon (sorry man) giving us both some wheel damage but we both stayed out. I fought the the car pulling to the left untill lap 17 when I pitted for tyres. I let x-moon past on lap 3.
I moved up to 2nd when x-moon pitted on lap 20. Bonus pitted on lap 35 and I moved to 1st.
I pitted on lap 38 for tyres and dropped to 3rd to x-moon and Bonus.
I was intending to run the remainding 20 laps on one set of tyres so I set out to be conservative and keep my driving level.
On lap 39 x-moon pitted and I moved up to 2nd. At this point I hoped to keep it steady and take 2nd place but to my suprise the split times started dropping and soon after on lap 48 Bonus was just in front of me, basically crawling. He pitted and I moved to 1st (don't know if you heard me Bonus, but I put the window down and said thanks when I went by haha).
I ran the last 10 laps in clean air and took 1st! 1hr 19mins total time.

This was the first race that I ran with no ABS and cockpit cam. So, I'm happy with a clean run.

Nice work! That should make it all the more satisfying.
