Bugger, that was a shocker lol. Glad I DSC'd from that, strategy didn't work and I had a drive through. I hope you will all join for what will likely be the final season on GT6, in either the HSV GT500 or 908 HDI FAP.
The Throwback Series is running next Sunday with these machines: Details here: http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.ph...13-12-10-1-throwback-series-the-rejects.1914/ Hope to see you all there!
As much as that was a real challenge getting that beast of a car round the mountain in those conditions, I actually enjoyed that. The viper (to a point) is really easy to feel what its doing. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the spray when behind another car. Guessing where an apex/corner is can be scary. Thanks for organizing this again Jono, was good to take part again. Even if QLD had very poor representation. At least we beat NSW
Cheers Emmo Congrats to @FILO and congrats to the BJH Outsiders on their first title! NSW: 2 QLD: 2 BJH: 1
Wise decision to shorten the race to 90 minutes...can't imagine doing two hours as I was mentally exhausted trying to keep the car straight.
Very eventful race, I realised when I stopped at half an hour mark I fooked up when not adding fuel just a little not enough, I thought my tyres were shot on 9's and 10 Seconds a lap slower but it was the games having a blonde physics moment so I cruised the car home knowing I would need a second stop, 2 hour race would've saved me, my brake balance was a bit rear aggressive for the wet and once the rear Got out of shape I was sideways through the chase outfield every time Well done FILO, sorry about the contact we had I was a passenger in the car at the time Don't think it cost either of us all that much haha other than that it was a great race, don't know what everyone else is complaining about
My complaint is with the logic of the game. I am positive Stigs intention was to have variable weather but over 60% of the 90 mins was 100% surface water. I think I was the only car to make two tyre changes and at 30+ seconds that hurts - and I also did a complete refuel at the 35 min mark based on testing that showed 30 mins per half tank on the basis the weather variance would bring us dry track running but we never saw a dry track - but the setting was not 100% wet????? So the frustration of all this caused the need to push and in the conditions, more incidents. The game should not move to full wet course for such a massive percentage of the race if weather is not set to 100% wet. The idea Jonno had was great but the game took it to a frustrating extreme. No real race series would have continued under that sort of weather....at the front you don't have rooster spray or cars veering/sliding in front of you and disrupting you getting into a rythym and your pace can be measured until someone is on your tail...so being in front would definitely have been more enjoyable. If you are mid-pack you get all these added challenges.mwith 30 mins to go I felt like exiting as there was nothing to race for (but decided to give Hatfield some circuit work to commentate on instead) and I think many others in p7 or lower either did or felt like it too...and with that long to race, we surely don't want that in this sort of series do we?? I reckon, based on how the game interprets weather, there should never be a setting of more than 40% for weather variance applied...that should give diverse track conditions without it becoming ice hockey with 4 wheel pucks...
@N64TheStig007 so Noremac to 3rd, Bob back to 4th TB 5th and Bryan back to 6th?. I completely forgot about the jokers so will redo the charts once you confirm that order.
No. He is neither Australian or New Zealander. This is ROOZ. What next we going to have other countries entering?
