Combining into 3 divisions?

    Hey guys, I don't know your thoughts but what are yous thinking if the idea of expanding the divs to 15 or 16 cars and only running 3 divisions?
    I have heard that the connection is still fine with 16 people..

    There is no way will be reach 16 with 3 divisions, right now 2 divisions seems the better option, both servers will likely get 11-13 as is right now.

    Div 3 has had 11 different drivers over the last two weeks( two didn't show for round 2 but three new starters joined in) and I'm pretty sure we will have enough to make it interesting. maybe you can get the two smallest divs to run together as two races within a race. Probaly div 1 and div 4 because combined they seemed to have about a dozen starters.

    Run a multi-div race. Eg Div1+Div4: Div1 guys get a set of points, while Div4 guys get their own. Div4 should give way to Div1 at all times.
    I'm keen to run 16 driver race.

    Yeah, combining divs to make two races is feasible but squishing everyone up to make three would mean dividing div 2 and 3 which makes the championship points impossible to manage. Maybe we can combine div 1 and 3 (although some weeks might be a bit oversubscribed if everyone who has already started once shows up) and combine div 2 with 4. Purely on numbers div 1 and 2 together and div 3 and 4 together would probably work. They are more likely to get in each others way though.

    Combining the divisions is easy, just merge the finish times from the races and redistribute the points that way.

    But then you have no idea who your racing against!!. Not in favor of that. may as well have time trials instead.

    My recommendation would be just to combine the 2 smallest divs each week, rather than redistributing them. As always, the season is short and we should change to 2/3 divs next season.

    div1 and div 4 are the two smallest and they shouldn't interfer with each other much. They only time most of the div 1 guys swould ee the div 4 guys is if they lap them.

    Yeah that could be an alternative, but it doesn't solve the solution of only racing like 4-6 other people

    I don't think you can solve that at this stage unless you get more starters. Maybe those guys that havent shown up for div 3 could make late starts to Div 4??
