POLL 2, car type for season 10.

    Based on the previous poll it was clear that the majority wanted the following :

    1. a ROAD CAR for season 10.

    2. 1 tire option to last 'APPROX' 85% race distance when pushed hard. (this may be looked at again when the car is selected)

    3. A season of 7 races as has been the norm for the previous seasons. (5 regular rounds, 1 enduro and 1 sprint round)


    Will keep this poll up for 2 weeks and then get some specific cars to vote on.....

    Some have requested a change to AWD or FWD for a change to what we have been running. Please give this a little thought purely for something different.

    I will also include a poll for the car to be based in a PP range. Also please think if you might like a change from what we have been running, 5-600 pp, FR for the last few series.

    There are so many good standard cars that are FR and within the 4-500PP range that is winning the poll atm, eg:

    RX-8 Type E '03
    190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91
    MUGEN S2000 '00
    SUPRA 2.5GT Twin Turbo R '90
    Fairlady Z 300ZX Ver.S TT 2seater (Z32) '98
    SPRINTER TRUENO GT-APEX (S.Shigeno Ver.) '00
    Nismo 270R '94
    RX-7 Type R Bathurst R (FD) '01
    Commodore SS '04/Monaro (sorry, just the good cars right...)
    SUPRA RZ '97
    M3 '04
    Amuse S2000 R1 '04
    320i Touring Car '03
    IS 200 GT-1 Race Car '04
    Opera Performance 350Z '04
    M3 CSL '03

    Plus about 20 others. All these cars can be traded and there would be at least 2 people on this forum who have all the standard cars and can dupe them out. Before you vote against standards, have a look here to be sure there aren't standard cars you'd like to try.

    cmon guys, get your votes in for the season car type.....

    Want to get some cars up for testing so we can get into the nitty grity of season 10.

    Will look to close this poll towards the end of next week...

    Also please let me know if you intend racing this season.......divs 2 and 3 looking very strong, div 1 a bit thin at the moment.....

    Disappointing to hear we will be racing dealership cars as we have such a broad selection of racing classes and race cars not to mention the faster pace of racing race cars. As I don't race dealership cars I will let you gents do the decision making on this one..

    That's a shame ven.

    We've had some great racing in the dealership cars over the different seasons. G37, mclaren MP ???, FT 86 Toyota and the tamora in season 3.

    We generally go year about, so hoping you might change your mind and have a crack, or will probably use a race car or RM in season 11.

    We prefer to use the premium cars as it makes everything a lot simpler to organise, whats wrong with the dealership cars exactly? As Stu said, we've still had some great racing with them, especially with the Toyota, that season was great and very close.

    Hey Stu,

    Don't get me wrong. I will love to participate in season 10 I just don't have any experience with racing road cars or selecting ones.

    Look forward to my first road car racing season.

    I assume 4WD is a little easier to drive , we have had MR inn season 4 and FR plenty of times..Cant remember if the tamora was an FF car or not

    Yep, out of the 9 seasons so far, 7 have been FR cars.

    S2 - Castol Supra
    S3 - TVR Tamora
    S5 - Infiniti G37
    S6 - Corvette RM
    S7 - Camaro RM
    S8 - Toyota 86
    S9 - Skyline Race car

    S1 was an AWD Audi, but on Race Mediums, and S4 was the McLaren MP4-12 which is MR, and on a cascading tyre model (Sports Softs Div 1, RH Div 2, RM D3)

    Hmmm pretty sure the tamora wasn't front wheel, lol. I don't think anybody is afraid of FF/4WD, they just don't wanna race them cos they're gay.
