Day/night transition would be good too, but needs to be on a well lit up track as the headlights on cars do next to nothing at night making some tracks invisible(Willow springs and Bathurst come to mind).
I would like to see us re-create the Nurburgring 24 h race ... the 20KM circuit / endurance / day night transitions... ...the front runner cars are spot on for this type of race...
I've found the McLaren to be very twitchy on the bumps, I really struggled with it on my stomping ground (Trial Mountain Reverse), but on a smooth surface, it's a dream to drive. That being said, I think only the best drivers will be able to extract the maximum from the car, so we might see some cakewalks in some divisions.
Good to see the BMW has taken 2nd place. There will be a 1 week poll after this one has finished, so perhaps the BMW will prevail, even if it does sound like an idling 747. I found the same thing, N64. On Spa and Silverstone, it's brilliant. Nurburgring GP circuit was quite a tough one, with its cambered corners. Turn 2 is a tough one for me to get right at the best of times, let alone in the McLaren.
There's a long wheel base model? I thought the GTR had the same wheel base as the standard F1 model...anyway...
There is two types of GTR the longer version was made in 97 as a homologated car to improve the Race cars stability for Lemans striaghts. The first GTR was just a Standard F1 with some Aero work(mostly that rear wing), weight reduction and Tighter Gearbox.
Slightly longer probably about 20mm, would of made a noticable difference in handling, added with the longer aero profile.
