Good early bird deals for tickets and flights...accommodation is the tough one, they jack up the prices about four or five fold for GP weekend.
What a f*ckin' cock tease. So peeved off when I saw Toto Wolff smirking. I wish that Rosberg had a huge lead instead of playing a game of cat and mouse. That Toto Wolff smile reeked of pure elitism. It would make me sick if I was judgemental. Great engine Mercedes, gg.
Yes always best to retire when you're at the top. Plus he was in the right car and Hamilton had a lot of mechanical dramas, so if he was ever going to win this was the year for it! Looking forward to next year. Hoping the changes, bring the cars closer together in terms of pace. As long as there are 2 teams up front battling (so 4 cars) that'll keep things interesting for me
Thoughts on Rosberg's replacement? Wehrlein is the obvious one, people saying Button, Alonso, Vettel...I'm going with a bit of a smokie. Paul Di Resta.
My wishful replacement: Carlos Sainz JR Who i expect: Pascal Wehrlein. Although Niki has said that an inexperienced driver he would consider as 'Taking a serious risk' which kinda makes me think it could be an Alonso or Vettel.... lets not forget Vettel has delayed Contract talks at the Scuderia...
I cant see McLaren or Ferrari agreeing to release a top driver to Mercedes. In all honesty, with Hamilton there they might be better off with a young guy who won't expect everything to go his way. Lets face it, Hamilton isnt exactly the best team mate.
I think logic would suggest Wehrlein, but my gut feeling is something completely out of left field... After all who saw Rosberg's announcement coming? One name I surprisingly haven't seen mentioned at all, as a long shot as it is, Mick Schumacher. He has links to Mercedes and despite overall a lack of experience in junior fomale, as we've seen that's done nothing to hamper Verstappen. Somehow I can't see Mercedes taking a gamble like that (maybe plump him in a Manor in a year or so), plus losing to Joey Mawson wouldn't have helped. Admit it though, Alonso up the front again is what we all want to see.
Interestingly enoughy, he posted a photo on Instagram at a Mercedes event, thanking them for the invite. I don't think he'd 'qualify' though under the FIA points system thing??
