Hi guys. Based on the popularity of the Le Mans endurance, I am looking to do another 1960's endurance race but this time at Spa. I know not everyone will have the track but they're the breaks The difference this time is: The cars will be all GT40's and no tuning allowed. Track: Spa Francorchamps- Car: Ford GT 40 Race Car '69 (Standard car, check UCD or do a B-Spec Indianapolis win) Laps: 30 Weather: On Tuning: Prohibited Performance Points: 564 Tyres: Race Hard Quali: One lap shoot out! Race will be on Sunday 23rd Sept. Qualifying will be from 8:15 - 8:30 and then the race will begin. Remember it is a one lap shoot out so do one lap during that time frame and park it up. Room will be opened at about 7:45. Likely starters: Me (guarenteed) Cyber (most likely) TC (probably) Barra (maybe) Zampli (probably) TheStig (guarenteed) nat (probably) Anon (possibly) colin (maybe) mmm_homebrew (possibly) Stu (possibly) Podium: 1st: Cyber_stig77 2nd: Barra333 3rd: natmanscoop
I may have to postpone this to after S8 is over. Probably get more interest in the off season for a Sunday night anyway. Will wait and see due to there being bugger all posts thus far
Just thought I would provide an update to this. I will be holding this race during the S8 - S9 hiatus so only a few weeks to go. Be good to garner more interest in this to make it a larger grid. Allowing for a possible "Clash of the Titans" race being one or two Sunday's after the Series ends on 2 Sept, I am pencilling this in for 23/9
If more people don't sign up for this, I will be forced to SPAM it in the shoutbox every couple of hours! I'll Set up a macro/script and leave the laptop on with the rooz site up 24/7 giggity  Those who voted for Friday nights, please speak up so I can include in the list of possible drivers. Although I have suggested a Sunday evening I am pliable
I'm in as long as I do the B-Spec at the Brickyard. Will hopefully get to it soon, like the non-tuning races for accessibility
Oh , 23rd out for me just checked diary will be on my way to Mallacoota for a wedding Sorry mate after all that!
