Well it's confirmed now, Thursday Night Formula One is now an official ROOZ League under the abbreviation of F1LOZ!

I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who have participated in the series so far, and a huge thanks to the mod team for making this possible.

That's awesome news jono... thanks for all the effort you've put into this.

Maybe with the extra recognition we might get some more on the grid ☺

On a side note, thought I would try and do a full race practice for Thursday with ultimate AI and after half distance I feel utterly exhausted. Thursday is going to be full on.

Since it's an official League.... once i catch up with the current Sunday League ROOZ News....

now, anyone keen to do a half distance tonight, get a guage on tyre wear, overtaking opportunities etc. let me know if youre keen and we can get a room up.

I know it cool to have it as a rooz league. But being very new to rooz whats it mean now

Unless the room is set to 100% distance, the tyre wear will be different to what we face on Thursday. The game scales tyre wear, hence why a 25% race set of Hards barley gets 10 laps at Catalunya

if it scales properly though, would i not be able to use the same tyre strategy from the 50% race in the 100% race. tyre will just last twice as long on the 100%er?

so if softs are done by lap 9 in the 50% they would last till lap 18 ish on the 100% race?

When it comes to overtake opportunities, there are only a few spots on the track where it is even safe to run side by side.

Against an opponent of similar pace, you're only genuine opportunity is braking into T1, and that's only going to happen if you get a much better run out of T19 with the right timing that you can pull along side before the braking zone.

Otherwise you're going to have to be much faster or take advantage of mistakes.

If your opponent is getting good exists, chances are you're just not going to get a safe chance to pass. Ultimately that's what pit strategy is for, under or over cut them in the pits and make good use of safety cars.

We've all been pretty good in most races, but Turn 1 at Monaco is pretty tight and going 2 wide through there has a very high likelihood of someone ending up in the wall. So lets all be civil - its a long race and it's not gonna be won at the first corner.
