All the regs for season 7 are at the top of this thread.

If you are talking about driving aids, we run abs and traction control as optional, but all others (Force recovery, driving line etc) are off. Most guys drive with ABS on 1 and traction control is a mix between the drivers, however most drive with it off. We also run with boost off and slipstream on low.

    Hope that helps

    Hey pricey

you have to start on the tyre you qualify on

As long as you do 1 stint on both tyre compunds (even if its only 1 lap on ) then it does not matter what you finish on.

Pricey, if for example you want to run a 2 stop strategy and have qualified on softs, you will start the race on softs, after your first stop you may for example choose to run mediums, then after your second stop you may go softs again, the main thing is that you run at least 1 lap on both compounds throughout the race, and begin the race on the tyre you qualified on.

As you can see, just because you start on softs doesn't mean you can't finish on them, as long as there was atleast 1 lap on mediums somewhere in there.

Cool. Thanks for clarifying that. I understand now. I practiced on softs at deep forest and found they where getting real slippery after about 4 laps. But mediums where so hard to drive on. Granted im probably not as experienced as you guys. This shall prove to be be an exciting challenge. Looking forward to Sunday night.

Hey guys it was bought up that 10 mins for qualy is going to be a bit long considering most people will probably start on softs and the pit lane is closed during QUALY (technicially speaking)

So at the captains discretion if everyone is in the room the Qualy may only be around 5 minutes or 4 laps or so as this is about as good as you will get on the softs or even meduims for hot laps anyway

    hey Carn?

so with this closed pit rule. does that mean you cant come it for another run on softs (or mediums if you chose to qual with them)? i found that especially at this track my first flying lap is normally the quickest. so normally with 10 mins there is time to come in and throw another fresh set on and give it another crack. i dont disagree with the rule cause i understand why its there. i will just have to make the first couple of laps count. i guess everybody will be in the same boat.

ok scenario 2 hahah - if i am doing quali on softs but im the slowest out of the soft runners. can i exit the track (forfeit my time) and the enter with mediums. basically change strategy on the fly depending on how quick everyone is. but i guess shortening the qualy to 5 mins will solve this problem leaving no time to change.

dont mean to be a pain but i think they are reasonable questions haha

    Hey Nugget
Withe the first part of the question you defintely cant enter the pits once you are on track, this will make it closer to being a hot lap qualy but you will still get a good 3 or 4 laps

Scenario 2 at this stage it is a no, if you enter the track and quickly realise you picked the wrong tyres I'm sure the captain wont mind you going back and changing but you need to decide before you qualy what tyre you will be starting on and stick with it.

Unless stu is happy to change that then at this stage I'll say it's a no but I'll ask him to address when hes back tommorrow.
