Hi Guys,
Well the season is nearly here, with 111 entries it will be ROOZ's biggest season ever. Thanks to everyone for their patience, and also to those of you who have helped us get this season together. From driver recruitment, car testing and helping me get the 7 divisions together your help has been greatly appreciated....
With full grids and a lot of new drivers i have tried to pick tracks that not only suit the Mazda, but will also help promote good racing. Most of the tracks have lots of passing spots and are relatively wide to suit the big grids and pack racing.
SEASON 5 TIRES
1. Race HARD & Race SOFT will be the tires of choice for the normal rounds and enduro.
2. Race MEDIUM will be used for the sprint round.
SEASON 5 REGULATIONS
1. Pit lane will be CLOSED for qualifying,
2. Drivers will be required to choose which tires they want to qualify on, and that is the tire you must run for the first stint of the race.
3. Race soft tires can only be used for 1 STINT ONLY. Drivers using the Race soft for more than 1 stint will be excluded from the results
4. NO POINTS for pole position. Drivers who want to run the soft tire later in the race as their strategy shouldnt be disadvantaged by the points system. For this reason there will be no point for pole.
5. Wear for the NORMAL and ENDURO rounds will be FAST
6. Wear for the SPRINT round will be NORMAL
7. Drivers must run both compounds at some stage. Mixing compounds is prohibited.
The track list is as follows.
ROUND 1. SILVERSTONE GP CIRCUIT : 24 LAPS
ROUND 2. TOKYO REVERSE : 34 LAPS
ROUND 3. SPA : 21 LAPS
ROUND 4. CAPE RING SOUTH (SPRINT ROUND) : 22 laps with a reverse grid for race 2
ROUND 5. SUZUKA : 24 LAPS
ROUND 6. FUJI F : 32 LAPS
ROUND 7. GRAND VALLEY (ENDURO) 48 LAPS.
I hope this season brings lots of close and more importantly FAIR racing. Please be up to date on the driving rules and standards that we expect at ROOZ.
Any questions or issues please PM me.
The mod team reserve the right to adjust the season regs where the is an obvious issue with the rules and regs. This may be the result of an update or oversight.
Cheers stu
