Could we just get a vote on how many people would be willing to pay $5 for a DLC pack for the season whilst we're at it?

We cannot choose a car that will exclude members from entering. Yes it is not much money but some people can barely scrape together the stupid ps+ just to go online. I personally can't see any problem with the free dlc making the cut, but unfortunately the paid dlc will be restricted to midweek/member organised events.

Voting patterns look odd. They were so wide spread and now seem to be solely touring.

It's more than likely around the $5 mark though. Think about it.

Can't they just go without a beer or two?

Not each week. Nor every month. Just once.

There are so many games I have played which exclude most because of "Paid for" DLC. And 9/10 it costs MUCH more.

This is a hobby. Most have at least a $500-$700 racing wheel.

We should be stoked that this game is frickin fantastic. I think it has exceeded just about everyone's expectations. At least now that it's fully (almost) patched haha. And of course the support from Slightly Mad Studios should be applauded. Bungie (Xbox) for example was abysmal (still is) and they are a gigantic studio, compared to SMS in a small office with a handful of employees.

So speaking of it as a hobby things are all relative.

So you have to spend $5-$10 every 3 months on your hobby? Lol that's it. Nothing more. And you will get access to some AWESOME cars during that time (because of course we will all vote for the best cars - and there are some pearlers!!!).

Anyway I know the mentality some have with things like this (no offence) so I'm not expecting to change your mind. I'm just trying to open your mind up to some perspective. ;)

*Edit. So basically I'm saying those without DLC (minority) just need to have a miniscule more discpline with their money over a period of 3 months. Big whoop! ;) :)

We are thinking about it mate, and it is not what ROOZ was built on, but telling people who might be struggling with finances (we never know what someone is really going through, job loss etc...) to be "more disciplined with their money" is probably not the best way to get your point across without getting someone off side.

We are keeping this non DLC at this point in time with further consideration given as the whole DLC/PS+ culture evolves and as mods we are discussing all these points all the time (just not in the public forum), but until then we are keeping Rooz Sunday leagues accessible to all with base, and free content.

I can see both sides of the coin, but as I think someone mentioned earlier, DLC content could be used in community events, rather than the league proper.
As Clevo mentioned, ROOZ wasn't built on add-ons and DLC, it's always been about making everything as equal and accessible as possible, so that drivers of ALL skill levels, financial status etc. have a chance to compete.
I love some of the DLC stuff and would love to race it. Seeing as there is such a great desire from some folks, why not create your own series based on DLC and generate some interest?

Just out of curiosity, which 'touring' car has piqued everyone's interest? Or is it just a general feeling that racing would be better with them?

I am curious too, as I voted a different class, but haven't been on PCARS lately to hear the chatter, as I have no wheel at the moment :(

personally for me the clio cup cars are great to drive, but i voted touring on the basis we could use the modern merc dtm car (before realizing it was early dlc). having said that though, in such a game where the physics engine is pretty much the most realistic it can be, i think touring works best for us because of the way we race with a bit of rubbing and bumping from time to time and wont result in as heavy damage compared to racing say prototypes or open wheel cars

Started a growling noise on startup, and began to feel "notchy" under power on FFB, but felt fine with no force on it.

Some of the guys heard it on start up over my mic the night it started it and were shocked with the noise coming out of it  Thankfully it is still under warranty and is currently with Thrustmaster, fingers crossed

Strange for a belt driven wheel! Hope it's fixed (or ideally replaced) soon...Christmas break (if you get one!!) would be boring without it!

I think the solution is obvious as Leeboy has pointed out.

For those with DLC we'll create another day/time per week with DLC cars.

As long as we have the numbers, it's a win, win.

My vote was just for the touring name. No specific car in mind :)
