A mate of mine organizes track days at the Perth RAC track. Here's some pictures of the line up this time out in March. The R35 GT-R is driven by Heath Ledger's old man and is TAGA rally spec. The sound from that pipe work on the GT40 is as awesome as you would expect. The R34 (I think) - anyway, the black GT-R has computer controlled variable torque distribution, as you power on or off it actively changes the 4WD torque bias! Had fastest car of the day when I left. There was a dude in a Levin AE86 that was hell fang'n it. I gotta save up some money and get me a car. These guys were all on semi-slicks (equivalent of GT5 'sport' tyres), with a couple of exceptions who were running performance road tyres (equivalent of GT5 'comfort soft'). Excellent stuff kosatr, although i think I'm missing something with the AE86, i just don't rate them.
Depends what you like. He was not on the pace but knew his car and was pushing hit hard. Great fun to watch, and a great smell from the racing fuel he was running. It's a real lively car, the back end is on the verge of breaking out (and beyond sometimes!) almost constantly. Guess that's why they're a popular drift car. Looks fun.
Almost, its an R32. Looks like fun, wish I had a suitable car for it though. R35's are sexy cars Was it a genuine GT40 or a kit car. If it was genuine, it'd be a once in a lifetime thing to see one of those...extemely rare and expensive.
Probably kit. Something about the front scoops looked too modern, but I didn't ask or look closely so I don't know for sure.
