Great work Outta, looks hot. With some colour substitutions it could be a good base for a ROOZ skin Your Grey Monster skin looks sweet too Beau.
Got a bit bored this arvo. Done a bit more to my v8 skin, By beau261 at 2011-10-07 By beau261 at 2011-10-07 By beau261 at 2011-10-07 By beau261 at 2011-10-07
Enjoying the NTM on the MX-5's I jumped from 4th to 1st on the first lap. Here's me squeazing through for 1st place, "like a glove" I think we still had wing mirrors after this (I'm #1 car RHS)
Cool pic. So what would you say the biggest difference is with the Mazda on the NTM, in terms of driver inputs?
Thanx Beau. I reckon you've got to be smoother and more precise with your pedal inputs especially. And even more wary on cold tyres (first lap and a half or so). Generally there seems to be a bit more understeer at corner entry which you can overcome, but not with quite the same agressiveness as before, trail braking is harder to get right. The back end is a bit twitchier/harder to pull back if you do start getting out of shape. All seems to be more 'true to life' IMO so a good update
Had a very entertaining Skip race just now at Okayama. Started 4th and managed to nab 3rd after some crazy side-by-side action. Here's how it went down....
From the same race as above, a few laps later, I came across this scenario. Oblivious of what was coming until after committing to my (off camber downward sloping) apex.... *eeep* :/ 2nd place (afar) is recovering from a spin after passing 2 cars of lap traffic, one of which is also off recovering from an off-track. Was pretty hairy to negotiate but I made it through incident free *whew*!
And who says iRacing doesn't look good ... I think your Oky shots look awesome, Dave Just finished building a new pc (my first one from scratch!). Still some teething problems, but will be racing soon, and with maxed graphics
Thanks Chris . Yea good to hear, was wondering where you were at... Is that a pun Dusty? I'm pretty sure Chris was going to Skip (Barber) this Season!
Doing a bit of a Team Lotus colour scheme on a few of my cars this Season... Here's my Mustang having a look up the inside of 2nd place on an exciting final lap of 15 at Watkins. Here's my Spec Racer. Just parked up.
Here's a couple of shots from a fun Street Stock practise, then race session at Thompson. Drift practise on the new tyre model. Very fun. "You're up top, three wide!" - The #6 car is a lap down, #2 car steals 1st off me here, I get it back at the next turn but a slight contact later will see me concede and finish 2nd. It was a fun race.
Thanks Seido. I did a Skip race today at VIR (full) and lost my nose cone / front wing assembly. Hurt my final lap times a bit but fortunately it didn't really matter by then. The sub frame level of detail (read: fully engineered) is kinda cool to see. I was stoked with a quali in the mid 2.10's which put me 2nd. But the guy in 3rd got a ripper jump off the line and went up the inside of T1. I thought there was less room than there was and ran wide on the grass, dropping to 5th. Sorta got blocked a bit behind these guys and lost the front runners after that. Hence loosing the nose cone. Shame, I had the pace to challenge the top spot. All good, it was a fun race and 3rd wasn't a bad result.
Had my first Skip race this year just now. Good fun. Here's me putting a move on to reclaim 2nd place (I'm the #2 car) Put a 'wind' effect on using GIMP.
I figured out how to do motion blur in GIMP. Here's one of my old screens with the effect just on the background (like camera mode 3 in GT5 - fixed to car) After GIMP editing: Before GIMP editing:
Awesome pictures Dave. Here is a few I took last week when I chucked a random retarded setup in the car (full soft/full hard on random stuff for lolz).
