B. If enough time between seasons, bearing in mind the BJH ROC takes up the two weeks after seasons end. D. GT500 or even Touring cars (loads of options there, willing to help with parity testing) F. No tuning G. Or more if time/weeks permit K. Plus enduro of 1.5 - 2 hrs
That would be even better, since the HTO series is not like the regular season in which they use fastest lap times to workout divs for next season. Having faster better cars for each division would make the series awesome but it would require like 5x more testing to work out cars etc. Could have the top Div as LMPs or something and work way down to GT300.
I like that idea, LMP1 (close top cars) for Gold, LMP2 (open top cars detuned slightly) for Silver, GT500 for bronze and GT3/300 for copper.
The stock tune on those 3 in particular is awful. Remember that Sunday morning at suzuka with the Gariya...The R8 was dropped from the current season and the BRZ wasn't the same after the upgrade during the macca season. Me personally I would be stoked to have tuning available on everything except for power... the handling is better tyre wear is better but the majority will rule
I do like the idea of tuning. Keep the bhp the same, but allow us to change gear ratios, suspension geometry, diff settings to suit each track. Keep everything else the same, the variation of vehicles has really livened thing up. Just a shame this can't be a longer season. LMP1's would be awesome(1st pick), gt300, gt500. Also happy to help with testing. Maybe go 2 tyre compounds like Sunday league??? Love your work Vardz
I agree with everything Ad2 said. Although a suggestion of maybe a round recap at the end of the series.. say a 10 lap sprint at each track would be pretty fun Man... imagine if the PD network was strong enough for us to host all the Divisions in 1 room! That would be epicly nuts!
Personally I like the current formula a lot, you get a feeling of that you have no idea who's going to win each race and people can use their car's strengths to the maximum. Like Beau said in the Spa edit, no one looking at the Motegi results could have predicted an RX-7 1-2 in qualifying. Whereas in the Sunday league (for Div 1 anyway) it's more of, "ok, it's just going to be a race between Warrior, Mint, Rotor and Dan, and the rest of us have to pick up the scraps as best of the rest," unless a specific car and track combo really suits someone or it's a wet race. That's why I think the class system in Div 1 works well, it gives us non infected guys something to fight for.
Yep like a proper endurance race. That way you basically fill up rooms to 16 people entered. With 2 championships running in the same room. Half the skill is passing lap traffic without sacrificing to much time.
We could add those cars by allowing tuning, but everyone runs the same tune?! So it would be a case of people working out what the best tune is and posting it... that way you can add cars which are horrible on a stock tune, but keeps it down to driver skill in the races, rather than how well they can setup.
What he said. GT3 vs. GT500 FTW ! And personal opinion, Tyres/Fuel on Fast to make it a 2/3 stop and maybe compulsory compound change too.
1B 2D 3E 4I 5J The only thing that should change is the penalty system and adding more cars like the R8 ect.
