In order to keep full grids for division 1, we will try the below solution: We can offer the option whenever there are spots, for any div 2 drivers to move up to div 1 for a particular race for the opportunity to race in the top division, and be on the livestream. As for scoring, the drivers total race time will be compared with the division 2 field, and they will score points based on where that places them. Drivers in the actual div 2 race, will not score less points than they do on the night. Eg, Div2DriverA is called up to div 1 and his total time would place him 3rd in the div 2 race. This scores him 16 points on the div 2 table. His Fastest Lap time would have been the fastest in div 2 also, which increases his points to 17. In the actual div 2 race, the driver who had the fastest lap also gets the point for fastest lap. Also, all drivers who placed 3rd and below in the div 2 room, would not lose points or be bumped down. So 2 drivers would score points for 3rd place. Are there any drivers who would definitely be interested in moving up for a race or 2 if space is available? Also, are there any drivers who would be completely against the idea? (In the instance of a fairly small division 2 field after movements into the div 1 race, we can look at merging div 2 with either 3 or 4 and scoring separately)
I'm happy to be a backup host. Also hey all! Looking forward to seeing if I can keep up the momentum I had near the end stages of last season. Started getting used to the controller. Can't wait to start the season
Welcome all to Season 9! Each week there will be a briefing for that Sunday's race, and it is important you read it and understand it. This Sunday is the Meet n Greet (MnG), which we use mainly to test the connections and compatibility of/between all drivers in each division. This Season's MnG will run slightly differently to seasons prior. Each division will have a room open whereby we will have 3 clean races of 5 laps each of the first 3 tracks of this season. I ask that EVERYONE be present in their division party chat, even if you do not have a mic, this will help with running the room. After the 3 clean races, will we split up into clean & dirty rooms so drivers can either continue with some quick clean races, or can let off some steam and bash each other senseless... After the initial 3 clean races, ideally we will split into: Clean Div 1-2 (host @Bluemoon ) Dirty Div 1-2 (host @Hatfield ) Clean Div 3-4 (host @Aza2672 ) Dirty Div 3-4 (host @T F Eccles ) Put your name down in the vote on whether you will run in the clean or dirty room here: http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/gt-sport-season-9-driver-briefings.3851/
@CaptainRisky21 this is our proper division thread, not that div 1 swill. Looking forward to racing with you all!
My privateer entry for the season. Turned out ok I think. Got pretty close to what I was imagining in my head. Now I just have to drive it and try not to scratch it.
#$*&!! I cleaned my pedals this afternoon to clear the throttle fluctuations I have been having and now #$%@ing nothing works. I have bought a replacement off EBay but tonight I'll have to attend the M&G using a controller. I cannot use a controller so will just keep out of the way. The new one should be delivered mid week so should be good for Round 1.
That really sucks mate. I know exactly how you feel. I'm sending my whole rig tomorrow back to Fanatec. They will be sending me a complete new base and wheel hopefully soon
