Kicking off in 9th, and coming away with 7th, I am happy with that result lol. Kicked off the racing with RM, then RH, then RS stint. From there I stuck with the RM to be honest. I wasn't pulling as faster times as I would with the RS, but given the consistency I was getting with them, and the greater amount of laps, I stuck with them. Had a few good little battles throughout, though they would only last a few laps before someone peeled off to the pits. Managed to hold off Ursine lapping me on the last lap, but since he had finished his 53rd, still put me on + 1 lap lol. Ah well. Though it was a long race, I didn't find it frustrating, and I did semi enjoy it (though I needed a quick shower after that, sweating bullets!) I think the Daily Race C helped me this week - spending a lot of hours racing it, got me a good feel for the car. Bring on the last round!
My suckiness at this track threw away my OK quali. 2nd last week, 2nd last this week. Perhaps I needed to be wet?
not sure what you being wet has to do with it, but if being excited makes you a better racer then go for it!
Well thats a wrap for my season - out next week to visit Fraser Island as a birthday getaway. Did enough practise to know that the 10 second pit time made RS worthwhile for me, couple of seconds per lap difference for me - but the calcs were confusing trying to do on the fly, estimating how many laps i needed to allow for based on race time not race laps! I usually resort to a spreadsheet, but got close enough without. If there is any track that can claim to have a rhythm, Suzuka is it - those esses just beg to be done right. I figured just like my practise run, I would do my tyres RH, RM, RS, and see my lap times improving the whole time, keep that rhythm and momentum going. So I knew I would be slow out of the box - though starting near the back I didn't have to push to stay with the pack, but they soon took off once traffic cleared. Before I got into my groove, playing safe I braked nice and early...and @incey ran into me, knocking us both off track in last place - thanks for the redress, and for saying don't rush. You had a great run from there to end up in fourth!! I slowed down and got into a groove. I saw @T F Eccles in front after a pit - and he was pulling away a good second or three per lap - i started wondering if this was a good groove, especially seeing him add a second to the gap at the spoon. I did my RH and RM stints, and @Matthyus had made a couple of mistakes by then to only be a pit stop in front. Once I got to my RS laps, I kept swapping positions when anyone pitted - and started trying to see if the lap count was going to be favourable or not - and it was looking better and better. I knew consistancy was going to be what counted - those sticky tyres and downforce just kept working - had a few minor battles, glad I didn't push hard, as most ended up with a mistake or pit deciding the outcome. Was great to get back into racing after missing half a season due to real life - partner of 10 years and 2 kids left me - life turned upside down for a while - good to have some racing familiarity to get things back on track. Thanks for the season boys!
My best result for the season but I was very disappointed with the first lap. Did a pb to qually fifth but was sent to the back of the pack after being tapped off exiting the first corner. Then I caught Jonesy at spoon and misjudged his braking point sending him flying. After waiting for his tyres to clear it was back into it and churning thru tyres as fast as my crew could deliver them to the pit box. The 'heaps of stops' strategy seemd to pay off as i worked back through the field with lots of help also from Max's draft. We had a good seesaw for awhile but he ended up leaving me for dead in the latter stages. Got a low fuel, max boost flyer in to confuse the charts though. Fourth was good for me but there was a yuuuge gap to the class of the field on the podium. Not a bad finish to the race which had one of my worst first laps ever
Very happy with Sunday's race (obviously). Really starting to click with this car and honestly think the higher tyre wear rates suit me. More of a focus on consistency that outright 1 lap pace. Though I did boost it a couple of times on half fuel and fresh RS tyres, but still couldn't match Dazza 1 lap pace. WD on Q1 and FL mate!
Round 7: Brands Hatch - 50 mins - 21:00 - 22/3 (F1 livery round) ^RS & RM (RS mandatory), 10x Tyre, 2x Fuel WELCOME to Season 10!! As always please take 2 mins to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night......If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask! ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:50 AEDT. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them. QUALIFYING : 8:20 AEDT for 5 mins. Once 5 mins has been reached, finish the lap you are on and park up off track. THE PITS ARE CLOSED DURING QUALIFYING AND YOU MUST START ON YOUR QUALIFYING TYRE RACE START TIME : 8:25 AEDT (once qualifying has finished) LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS : This is up to the room host. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I always look at 1 or 2 starts if required due to DSC, but as it gets later everyone needs to be aware of getting things going. Please be as reasonable as you can with this.... SIGHT ISSUES: Ensure that you can see everyone on track. After qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again. It can also be done pre-qualifying to save time if there is no chance of latecomers. FALSE START CHECK : Please note that the start type is Grid Start with False Start Check Please practice this so you know what to expect. Simply, you hold the brakes on until the lights go from all lit, to none lit TURN 1 LAP 1 : This has the potential to ruin someones night if we don't use our heads! Should be everyone's goal to get through the first phase with ZERO contact. Give room and run in your 'lane' till you have space to run the normal race line. If your unassisted tap causes someone to spin, you need to redress. TRACK LIMITS : As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage. Please be aware of cutting sheene curve. CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room. If you bump someone and they end up off track or teleport back to the corner entry, you must wait for them to rejoin and get back up to speed. Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass. So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers. TYRES : Racing Softs, & Mediums (SOFTS COMPULSORY - NONE MAY BE MIXED ie having different compound on front or rear) PIT ENTRY : Drivers MUST make an attempt to use the pit entry / exit lines. PIT EXIT : Please use the pit exit lane and be aware of cars approaching on the straight. NOTE: Pitting is COMPULSORY BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : This season the stewards will be will be @Hatfield @JonoStan96 @Viperzed & @emmo46. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let us know via a PM. DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. We will ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captain to make any decision. SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved! PARTY CHAT : With the new party chat feature able to hold up to 16 participants, each division will have an open party chat for those that wish to use it. We recommend this especially to new drivers as they may ask questions about how the night is run or to clarify anything they are not confident on. OVERTAKE BUTTON : This seasons car has an overtake button. Please ensure you map this button to your device. Also be aware using the button, increases the cars fuel usage at the time, so plan accordingly. PARKING UP : If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres (or no tyres) so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occuring for passes happening near the parked car. F1 LIVERY ROUND : Make sure you show off an F1 livery! Whether it be from your team, or your own replica. FINAL NOTE: Could all drivers please confirm their attendance for this Sunday by 'liking' this post in your division. If you are unable to attend, please post in reply as much in your division. This way we can figure out our reserves or if the room can start early in advance.
With the maintenance for GT Sport happening now, there could be an update to follow. Please check earlier than race time for this update. If you are one of the first to find out, post in your div chat on psn and also here. I will make the call to postpone later if need be. As it is a normal length race, we should be able to start later if need be

I can't believe that race of mine. I believe that this is one of the first times I've managed a clean sweep. I'm so giddy right now
Pretty sure you did the same in div 4 at brands hatch couple of season's ago. You must really love this track.
I really don't. It's as bad as Willow Springs, cept green. But maybe I do more practise so I don't have too many offs.
