Absolutely, i waited until i saw all except peachy(out of time) had crossed line and agree all should be silent until all have crossed or timer has run down. Sorry i forgot to mention that pre race, i'd had alot on my plate that night as you know. The original idea was that all would be sorted earlier and this stuff would be mentioned in practice.
An easy solution is that before qually i'll mute everyone then no one can talk until postrace and the extra bandwidth can be used. On lag, it can be caused by having the media server connection enabled in your ps3 network settings. Disable this and the psp/vita connectivity as well
I think the mics work well in prac, but as soon as the qual starts then they should be switched off till the race is finished. We did that last season in div 2 and it seemed to work ok. Do you run the "Prac - Qual - Race" setup dek ? If you do, can i suggest that you remove the quual part of the regs and just use the 10 minute timer in practice to set the qual order. This way, if someone does happen to get booted they can re-enter the room and race.
I was running mid 1:08's in first practice last night so hoping to find another second before Sunday. What do you think race pace will be?
My best so far is 1:09.5 but I know I will need to be in the 7s to be competitive with Pykey. There are only three brief periods in the lap where you are not at full throttle so I don't know where I'm going to find those two seconds. There's not a lot of scope for me to find the time. I suspect that turn 1 and 2 holds the key as well as the exit speed from the last turn.
08.8 is a very good time for the division, it's just that we have some guys with Div 1 and 2 pace to compete against.
Ive just got to find time to find the time. I've done only about 20 laps so far but will need to work at it to be competitive, your times were close to mine at Deep Forest so we might be battling on track on Sunday.
I am not sure who is getting 1.07.5s In pre season testing the best myself and other div1 guys were getting was 1.08.5s on full tank.....maybe thats offline or I am missing a shortcut somewhere
I think the gap between the divisions is going to be very close here and there will be lots of overlap throughout the divisions.
The top lap time for Div 4 last Sunday was 7th quickest overall!!! The Div 5 guy was in the top 15 or so as well.
Beau231 did a 1:07.4 with half a tank and a 1:07.9 with a full tank when he decided to join for a few laps. In all seriousness low 9's high 8's are good and fastest laps count for nothing if you find yourself painting the wall at turn 2 and jumping the curb in the tunnel every other lap.
