How about 8 LMP and 8 of the second class and each team has a driver in both classes?

Yeah i agree with beau. teams of 2. one drives each. up to the team who drives which car. each class runs the same points system so that if someone drives a LMP and then drives a GT3 they would still get same points in either if they won the class.

Teams of 4 would work also

Pair a top div driver with a lower div driver?

Definately needs to be done like that so we dont have a runaway team.

DIV 1, 2 Drivers rank as PRO
DIV 3, 4 Drivers rank as AM
And each team must have both,
    maybe something like that?
But to be honest I'd only do teams if you can fill 2 rooms but

Jas why don't you do as i did with the weather... have it as realistic to the actual weather at that track on the day of the race... there is a weather website specific to race circuits http://www.myweather2.com/

ok guys so i have been doing some testing on the restrictors on the cars and they seem to work well, it appears that they can be monitored in the online lobby and may be used to balance driver performance/success, Here some test results,

    Silverstone -

    Marek -
Restrictor Setting - hp - total hybrid - lap time (please note I suck)
    low - 38.4 - 542 - 636 - 144.7
    mid - 38.9 - 552 - 646
    high - 39.4 - 562 - 656 - 143.7
    total hp per .1 = 1.4hp

    Bmw M3 GT3
Restrictor Setting - hp - lap time
    low - 27.8 - 432 - 202.8
    mid - 28.8 - 455
    high - 29.8 - 477 - 200.8
    total hp per .1 = 1.57hp

I then proceed to test other tracks in the M3
    Spa
    low - 27.8 - 420
    mid - 28.8 - 443
    high - 29.8 - 466

    Le mans
    low - 27.8 - 440
    mid - 28.8 - 463
    high - 29.8 - 486

Not sure why the different tracks have different results but can confirm time of day doesn't affect them as I have tested during day and night, Also tried long and short gears and max is the max wont go above,

This is a system that could be placed on the drivers initially
    i.e - div 1 gt3 28.8 - 455hp and div 2 29.3 - 466hp and div 3 - 29.8 full hp 477 - (and beau - 27.8 - 432hp lol)

From that point a succusses ballast could be placed on the podium each week on around 5hp or .3 - possible more say 10hp .6

This is something I will work on tweaking but to get it right I would love it if anyone could do some lap times to provide a comparison, i.e max restrictor vs lowest setting,

Please note the M3 isn't confirmed but it is a pretty awesome car, will be a contender.

They power differences you are seeing is due to the different altitudes of the tracks. As the m3 is a naturally aspirated engine it makes less power at higher altitudes due to there being less air density.

If it's a concern about the power differences then pick a turbocharged car, but it'll affect everyone the same

Hey guys I thought I would post up some test results from current restrictor testing.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...5aOLmB1qnxxQMWKPEDC33e-8Bg/edit?usp=drive_web

So far I have ran a lot of le mans and around spa to get some baselines for bop.

If anyone gets a chance and would like to add to this please feel free, I will test Silverstone and nurnburgring next week and hopefully get time to balance the second class.

So far the biggest surprise has been top speed with only about 5kph difference,
