Just an idea for an event when nothing else is on a Sunday etc, using the following regs:

Car: Racing Kart Junior
Tyres: Standard
Grip reduction: low
Boost: Strong
Slipstream: Strong
SRF: Allowed
Tuning Allowed: Maximise Top Speed!
No Damage
No Penalties
No Track limits, shortcut as much as you want!
Dirty racing encouraged.
Time progression: 60x

8:30PM AEST start
3 lap races
No qualy race 1, reverse grids after.

Tracks:
Indianapolis Road Course
Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit
Daytona Road Course
Matterhorn Riffelsee

Is this a warm up for Saturday morning?

Not really.. it's like a combination of RallyX and the uncertainty of Nascar combined into a skill-free race/battle format that can be enjoyed on the piss or otherwise, kinda like a GT skinned Mario kart..

sounds crazy. WIP means there something left to work out doesn't it? why juniors over shifters? i'd do it either way

No date yet. Shifters too quick to be skill-free.

wouldn't it take about 11 days to get around daytona in a junior

Only 3 laps so each race is about 10 mins or less.

I'm only a maybe for everything over the next couple of months Bob.
More chance on a fri or sat for me, but will if i can.

Did a test and have decided to allow tuning to maximise top speed for the benefit of boosting.

Is everyone ok for Saturday 7th Sunday 8th May or some other date during that week? There's no season 9 race that weekend due to mother's day.

yep i'll be there, can I suggest everyone be ready to go at 20:15

I did a couple of laps on stowe with the Kart and discovered that not all shortcuts will register on a lap. Going to have to either;
1. test every shortcut on each track or,
2. make it up as I go
Seeing how I am more concerned about how suzuka eats tyres i think i will have to play karts as it comes.
anyway, the only tuning you can do with juniors is max speed so even that will be a guess about how much boost and draft helps

No idea why you tested on Stowe.

couldn't be bothered to look up the tracks when i set the room up. i was just seeing how much difference changing the gearbox made
