Sry guys late call to work and I'll be stuck here most of the night so I'll be missing the race tonight
Yeah well done Ad & SPL. I had planned to use the 1 hour practice session to get most of my practice done, but I had the T300 'share button' glitch early in the practice session. This proceeded to completely screw up my pedals. I only had about 50% throttle max. I .had to re-calibrate the pedals. After that I realised that the wheel was screwed as well, so I then had to go and calibrate that. After all that, I only ended up getting about 10 mins practice in. I think I ended up with about 8 penalties and managed to completely spin it around 3 times during the race. Had some good close racing in the dark for a while with Rano and Rocket, and Fezza for a bit too. Was great fun. Sorry about the early braking Rocket, I really need to be slow in, fast out with the Z4.
I was pretty surprised to grab pole and I think the start went well. Congrats to @Ad2mny on the win, you were too fast to catch. When my pause screen came up just before the braking area of the f1 straight I thought something was up with the room but when I realized I had to just press resume I had gone sailing by the corner and off the the fence. From there it was just about keeping the gap to 3rd place. With around 6 laps to go I realized I was going to be short on fuel taking only 110 ltrs for the whole race. The 15 second back to Gaz dropped back to about 3 seconds after a few very slow laps to conserve fuel. I had 3.9 ltrs left as I started the last lap which gave me just enough for 1 flying lap to stay ahead of Gaz. My car ran out of fuel going through eu rouge just after crossing the finish line so I couldn't have cut it any finer. Congrats to Gaz for rounding out the podium and everyone be for a great race
When I was looking at the setup, it said my max amount of fuel couldn't run the whole 25 laps needed, so I split my fuel to cover this.... Then @garyw61 goes and runs the whole race without pitting and really confused the crap out of me. If I knew I could complete the race without pitting then 3rd place would have been possible
Fuel estimations are always generous. Best way to figure out if you can make it is to either run the whole race in same conditions on a practice run or maybe half and do the math. This is also hope you should figure tyre wear etc.
seowster had a funny off while trying to warm the tyres during the formation lap @ 1m 5s mark and I had a good run between two cars just after Eau Rouge @ 3m 23s mark.
@SuiCid3 see if this helps you...http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sh...Planner-DOWNLOAD-UPDATE-Open-office-and-Excel
That talent........a man racing around the track the whole race with out a steering wheel on his car.......bravo
Yep, it was well thought up, well explained by Ad2mny and well executed by all. Much better than last week's mess.
