Yes, we didn't plan well ahead last night, so most of us set to refill to 40L, in a 50/50 race I would more likely to fill to about 25L then pit once I get below 15L, so still only adding about 10L but spending more time on lower fuel load.
4ltrs would have got me to the end last night I like the challenge of setting up a strategy and making it work on race day.
@stucar17 A few of us just did a few laps around Catalunya GP in the V8SC and it was awesome, really good car/track combo there.
Agree Benny....HOWEVER....i have always tried to avoid the situation where drivers have to spend a lot of time testing to find out the best strategy. For some of the guys who dont have a lot of time, its not ideal. Just a fact of real life i suppose and i have always 'tried' to look after them a little. I think the tire wear on real is about perfect as its close between 2 stints on soft and wear them, or 1 soft and 1 hard. If we run fuel on slow there may be a track or 2 where we get through without needing fuel, and where we do need it i will make sure that everyone knows how much they will need (+2 laps) to get home. IF having fuel burn off is a temptation for some guys to bend the rules then i dont want them to have that temptation, and the possible ?? over anyone's head. Not worth the hassles
If some more experienced guys (Stu, anth, DJ...anyone but me) is online tonight give me an invite or something cause I've hooked up with the guy who's expressed his interest on the community page on PS4 and he's pretty keen to be involved so someone please explain to him how everything works
Is that that Bubba Gee guy you're talking about? If so I sent him a message with links to the Sunday league and the new members section. Sent him a FR too. But yeah we can also explain it to him in a party.
