I surprised myself for pace to qualify 5th, and off the start I almost went alongside the slow starting
@xlxy90 until he smartly moved over and
@Kartdude45 was in my path.
I went to the outside instead and ended up 2nd after
@Apex_64 &
@Siryc had their contact, and then I just tried staying with xl until he begun the gapping.
Eventually Siryc caught back up, and I knew defensive driving would begin.
I kept him behind for a number of laps, surviving a few accidental taps, until one tap was too much for me to handle and around I went. (all taps were redressed)
In my frustration I had another off track excursion but continued on trying to catch up to anyone ahead.
Finishing 6th is probably what I deserved if all drivers had made no errors.
Siryc, I understand your frustration at having pole and not making it to turn 2 in the lead, then getting stuck behind a slower driver.
I also understand that your lines were different from mine (a part of why you were faster).
I appreciate that you apologised immediately and redressed.
You said at the time you shouldn't have been there (I assume meaning you should've been at the front of the field) but racing happened, and you ended up behind me. It is then up to you to adjust your driving to make the clean pass.
I hope we see you on track next week, as I would hate to see one bad round be the only race you do here.
If it helps we could look at moving you up to the top room (I think we have a driver in there who needs to move down a division anyway)
