Thanks mate, yes I used to play golf regularly when I was in my teens, I got down to a handicap of 12 in 2015 before I stopped playing competition golf. I still haven’t lost any skills however, as I’ve had a few rounds in the 70’s in the last year @Bruise19 told me in the ACC Pro live stream he played in the 1996 Australian Open, now that is truly something!
Witch hill. Round 1. Very ordinary score on the front half, bought it home in the back half to come home with Par!!
I’ll try and find the full score card for the 4 rounds. Think I have it somewhere. I’m sure Greg Norman won.
Waterfront Shootout Nov 18 - 24 Course: Thieves Landing Par: 71 Rounds: 4 Another fantastically designed fantasy course, Thieves Landing provides a stunning mixture of oceanside holes, challenging inland holes and expansive bunkering. On paper, this course may seem easy, but tight pin locations, fast greens and extremely variable wind can ruin your score faster than you can say double bogey. Accuracy off the tee isn’t as big of a factor here, this tournament will be won around the greens. Tee it high, let it fly, but always try to shoot low! A wonderful end to the Opening Leg of the RaceOnOz Tour.
For those struggling with what clubs to buy, I hope this helps. Basically anything is better than using the default clubs. Get some cash and buy the clubs you need to up your game!
And lastly from me tonight, a special announcement will be made at the conclusion of the Waterfront Shootout. Excitement is building!
Good stuff Johnno. I tried to get aggressive with low wind. Ahh that didn’t go well for me. On to the next tourny Most of the settings that are open I have on a harder setting but that is no excuse, it’s my choice. Good luck next time out I will be watching you’re progress. What about some of the scores, incredible
I'm using Pro-Am now. Have since the first one. Just had to adjust to the finer control. To good for us plebs
1. Use the correct thumb. I use the left thumb, but you can also use the right thumb if you wish. 2. Calibrate your swing in the training option, especially when using a new controller. 3. Hold the controller in a way that is most comfortable for you. 4. Practice makes perfect!
Practice and review how when you down swing to see the line you take and adjust your controller holding to better align your swing. Also, wind is vicious and go further than you think
Can’t say I’m a big fan of this course, the greens are sloped non-sensically and the pin placements are… unfortunate. But, we still have the makings of a great tournament to come!
