The fact he is saying it is the largest update so far (even bigger than the VR update!) indicates it could be something with meat on the bones. Could also probably explain why so many of them have been so lacklustre recently.
Had a decent run at Catalunya this week, well on Monday and Tuesday anyway. Last night was pretty chaotic.
That new Michelin TT is pretty brutal. I find that Porsche to be incredibly understeery, which on a track like Road Atlanta is far from ideal.
Hi everyone, Some shameless promotion coming up! As well as my role here, since 2020 lockdown I've also assisted in the growth and management of another Australian Gran Turismo league, Project One eSports. We run Monday night races not too dissimilar to how we operate Rooz. This season we have had an influx of P1 members join the Rooz ranks for Sunday league and I'm now here to try return to favour! If you're interested in running in a Monday night league, races starting 8:30pm AEDT from mid November, or just want to join another community of like minded GT enthusiasts, Join the discord below, I hope to see a lot of you there! https://discord.com/invite/sM9CZajM
Can't speak for others, but for me, it's the noise! The exclusivity is pretty cool as well (that's a more IRL thing though).
I've been hearing whispers of an improved layout/menu. I honestly hope they address the current DR/SR system in Sport mode as well as the penalty system.
I respectfully disagree. It looks to be a complete UI overhaul (which it has needed for sometime), with the addition of substantial GT Sophy stuff, weekly events with opportunity to earn more credits and Roulette tickets. To me, it is a big step in the right direction.
I didn't really have a problem with the UI. Not the best by any stretch, but it didn't bother me at all. The Sophy stuff will be fun, but the game is absolutely crying out for more circuits to race on. It's not a bad update, I just expected something different is all.
As someone who still plays GT for the single player, i'm very excited for this. I do worry that the release of the snow circuit (which i'm happy for, i think it'll be cool) is kind of reactionary to the release of the WRC game, but i welcome its addition anyway. I'm sure road circuits are coming, and the UI refresh should help the game feel 'new'
I'm just looking forward to not having to grind so much anymore, though it has made me quite quick at Le Mans!
The new 911 RS nice to drive. I guess it is more race car than road car, but could be an option for a season. DRS adds a different element to a race, though I guess most of you have a solution to the DRS thing, like taping down the button.
Custom Race payouts are now a lot better if you have completed that specific track's circuit experience
