Ok this is amazing, but the pedal set looks like it leaves a bit to be desired. Clubsport pedals would be the first upgrade for me for sure, i'd want a clutch pedal at the very least
GTPlanet has the basic combination listed at AU$1230 AUD Add the Clubsport V3 pedal set (inc. load cell), plus shifter, plus the boost kit and you're already looking at around AU$2400 You get what you pay for of course, but still... not cheap! That being said... still very tempted to pre-order...
My G29 needs to be replaced and instead of going cheap my wife will buy it for me. Since Fanatec is modular I'd the pedals are meh, I'll upgrade those in time. Nothing is worse than 1 to 2 cm of throttle control on the G29...
Do you have the GTEYE spring/s? That's the only other thing I'd recommend for GT if splashing $1k+ is not an option (for whoever is footing the bill lol) And yes the G29 is fit for purpose, but I should have upgraded from the G29 long before I did...
No I don't. Stock G29s. The pedal plastic is fractured and is barely holding together, so looking forward to a full metal set for strength. I used to be quite brutal with my pedals if you raced with me, you'd hear the snap of the brake or throttle flicking back after use or for a heavy brake....
Never thought I'd say this about Fanatec gear, but that wheel looks cheap and nasty compared to their other stuff. I'm sure it will work well, but looks ghastly!! Luckily they are doing a separate wheel base later, so can pick one up and use on PS5.
I'm curious, as i look to get back into GT after a good 8 month hiatus, had to get rid of the playstation during peak covid, worth picking up a cheap PS4 pro and playing gt7 on that or hang out for a ps5 once it comes out? probably long term worth the wait for a ps5 id say
Just saw this, So pissed off, really liked the track because it was fast and flowing. Why put a hairpin at the end of the back str8 up the mountain instead of the cracking sweeping fast bend? And take away the downhill technical corner into the home str8 and replace it with a dog leg? Hope it is not a trend.
I can see why they did it - but IMO they should at least have had the option to run the 'classic' course without the hairpin. Also hoping it has an option to run the track at dusk, seems way too bright and is missing a bit of the vibe of the original.
Fingers crossed an update gets released once the game comes out that adds the classics, depending on the backlash that occurs once people start driving it of course Never know, deep forest/trial mountain/high speed ring may end up being better race tracks, just might take some getting used to (plus the removal of some nostalgia goggles (myself included))
The mrs surprised me with a PS5 - I'm so stoked and amazed she did this for me, after thinking I've been playing it too much lol. So I'm fully ste for GT7 - and I've booked the week off for when it releases - so excited lol
