I'm in this for sure, I have always wanted to do something like this but as Hat said, equalisation is going to be the challenge, The Mustang race for old timers we held last year at Deep Forest was a great race. I think you could throw in Deep Forest and Grand Valley East as well. those old girls would be great on those tracks. Also the Plymouth Superbird would fit in with these cars.

too many cars need to drop the list down to 4 or 5 cars easy to work with then i like the idea of the small tracks

You could just have set car / track combos, then no equalizing and you get to 'taste' the different flavors of muscle.
OOOOHHHHH you made me remember an idea from another series! say you have 7 cars...you also have 7 rounds. Then each driver/team can choose which car they want to use in each round, but you can only choose a car once. Then all you need to do is get them close enough with tuning prohibited using power limiter and boom! close series
Great idea Is tuning to be allowed? Most are 4 speeds with open centre Diffrentials and very low top speed. (Tuning allowed Idea) - BHP / weight restrictions disregard PP (No tuning allowed) - @skywalker is spot on with the 2 car only per track idea The GT350R is in a league of its own aswell its way to quick. Teams & colours ?? other circuit options... -Grand Vallet East (reverse) -Trial mountain -Red Bull Ring (short circuit) These all would work well with the low top speeds most of these cars have. Well as people are keen I'm thinking 1 car from the 7 different manufacturers and testing will have to be done to see how to go about getting the 7 different cars as close as possible I'll be online tonight to do testing
I like the idea of getting to use each car, I'd be happy with us selecting when we run each car so that you get mixed fields of cars for each event, or else we all run the same car, a different one each race.
After season 5 has finished I will need help with testing cars and tracks the number of car will have to drop but I think 3 or more cars will still be pretty cool ill let everyone know more after season 5 has finished
I wrote the list above, if you cull it down to just 3, you could run a 1971 championship using the super bee, mustang mach 1 and plymouth cuda
