To confirm, 2 x 10 qualifying is what is required. In short, tonight is 2 separate races, each needing their own qualifying. To ensure that qualification doesn't confused anyone, it will remain set at 10min qualification for both races.
Thanks for clarification @Matthyus Apologies to anyone I may have sent on a wild goose chase, I've been busy at Shannons Nationals this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park and hadn't brought into consideration the time I needed to get the briefing done to a standard i'm happy with. On another note, I'm unlikely to attend tonight, absolutely shattered.
That was a bit of a disaster. In short, we eventually decided to postpone. Update 1.15 has also broken grid starts with false start checks, so at very least we won't be able to use this until it is fixed.
With the grid start, has it just changed the light sequence so there is now a delay of unknown time before the lights go out? I got caught with this in a room a couple of days ago in the first race but by waiting for the lights i got a clean start ... kind of makes it bad that i false started tonight haha Otherwise, yep, a disaster, 5 people turned up ....
with the lights, I could hear them through some other peoples audio setup and they were not in sync to mine. @Anders got the green earlier than me and passed me as I started... and he was 8th and I was on pole!
No. Lights were going green for different drivers at different times, probably because rooms were so laggy. Manual rolling start is the way to go (or GT Sport was also suggested...)
ah ok, I just took off about 3 seconds before my lights turned green trying to pre-empt them as has been possible up until this latest update
Na im not going back to gt sport, been there done that. GT7 is frustrating but it's still better than sport. The lights caught me out last night, very frustrating because I had my first div 1 pole even if the whole grid wasn't there haha
My $0.02 I think we should test Bathurst lobby races this week and see if there is a reasonably good chance of holding a race without issue. Then consider the options, i.e. do we: 1. Continue this season with regular grid starts (if they aren't bugged as well) 2. Postpone until next update or until further notice 3. Cancel the season 4. And if we cancel, do we retroactively make it a test season or not 5. Consider GT Sport as an alternative 6. Other (?)
If tests throughout the week are positive, then just run with normal grid start. Otherwise postpone until an update fixes. If that takes too long we can retroactively make it a test season.
No don’t get rid of the season it’s fun except for lap 1 at high speed ring if anything make it a rolling start manual or not
This was lap 2 shortly before it was flagged, I was having to guess where Groover was (or wasn't) If the lobby lag is caused by the update (I'm happy to do a test race at Bathurst) then the future rounds (including Bathurst and a 90 minute enduro) are not going to be a good experience for anyone.
That's what your car was doing on my screen, one min you were infront of me then you were back behind so I couldn't tell if you were passing on the inside or not haha
Hey guys, sorry im interstate at the moment and cant make it this weekend. Have a good race, I'll be watching on YouTube
