    Rnd 6 of the season will be next Monday 27th of April for the 2nd Enduro cup round, with a single 90 minute endurance race in the same format as the real Blancpain Enduro rounds. Just a bit shorter then the real race which is 3hrs long.

    This will have a 65 minute max stint time, with a mandatory stop to add fuel. Tyres are optional on the stop and fuel is limited at 25 seconds for any amount. Time scale will be 2x as the real round is a 3hr race.

    Free Practice 45 minutes: 8:00pm AEST (in game Saturday 11am)
    Qualifying, 15 minutes: 8:45pm AEST (in game Sunday 10am)
    Race, 90 minutes: 9:00pm AEST (in game Sunday 3pm)

    A reminder for all to ensure they have set a lap in the Qualifying Server and anyone not yet entered to enter in the season entry thread.

    RACE/PRACTICE SERVERS PASSWORD "Season2"
    The race server does have a locked entry list so if you haven't officially entered into the season you wont be able to get in on the night. You can enter even if you don't expect to run every round, there are 3 separate championships and an overall sprint enduro combined. This should allow those that cant do every race to still be in the running for something.

    Please note whatever car you start your first official season race in you will be committed to for the full season.
    NEW season Entries Close strictly at 6:30pm AEST on race night.
    Any entries after this are accepted for the following round. The race server will be passworded with a locked entry list so anyone not on the entry list wont get in even with the password. To be entered in for the season you must enter in the entry thread, provide a GUID in the relevant thread and also set a qualy lap in the league qualy server prior to 6:30pm on the Monday race night.

    Please note whatever car you start your first official race in, will what you need to use for the full season.

    NEW season Entries Close strictly at 6:30pm AEDT on race night.

    Any entries after this are accepted for the following round. The race server will be passworded with a locked entry list so anyone not on the entry list wont get in even with the password. FULL FORMATION LAP MANUAL START PROCEDURE

    After testing the full formation manual start procedure on Wednesdays warm up races these turned out pretty good and easily manageable, ideally everyone will join the discord channel for race nights to hear any directions regarding the race start.

    The general rule will be to start single file and follow the leader, you can weave and warm your tyres up here but be aware of cars ahead and behind at all times. Do your best to avoid causing any issues for others, then the second last corner of the track start to line up double file (may change for some tracks and be in that rounds thread)

    Everyone should be in formation by the time the field makes it around the last turn and cars on the main straight should maintain 80kmh until the green light is given.

    Anyone going considerably early enough to gain an advantage here may be given a post race time penalty. Cars behind the leader aren't allowed to back up and then anticipate the green to get an unfair run on the cars ahead of them. Same with front row cars they aren't allowed to accelerate before the lights are green.

    Weather
    Weather will be dry as dynamic weather seems fairly broken again in current builds. Temps will be as in non static servers so should be around 18 to 24c depending on time of day.

    Multi Driver teams
    Any drivers wanting to team up and share the driving load for any rounds can do so this season, you will need to let us know by 6:30pm on race night but ideally ASAP to ensure admins have time to pair you up in the entry list. Drivers teamed up will need to be in the same class and the car used if both are in different cars will be the one of the driver currently rated higher in the season, if both are on equal points it will be the driver with the higher season qualifying rank.

    Protests and Penalties.
    For any official protests post race please see this thread for info on how to lodge a protest. This is not to be done in the race threads.

    A warning to all, I have noticed lots of very odd damage happening at Silverstone in the Porsche. Last night I lost 6th gear in a run which I didn't think was even possible. Then I broke suspension on a sausage curb inside t1 and resetting back to pits it was still broken until I exited the game and came back. It was fine after that and back to normal again.

    I just tried to have a race with AI and did a qualy session which was fine, I saved my setup then added some fuel for the race and wheel alignment was out massively lol. The car just went left, I restarted the session and same issue, exited the game reloaded the same setup and still broken. Exited again and then it was even more broken as in the video below.

    I did make a bug post in the forums but I noticed some similarly weird stuff last season in the same combo. Probably a good idea to make a backup of your setups as they seem to be broken somehow at this track at times.

    Aris made some comments about the possibility of strange setups during a recent stream, as they changed a lot about dampers, bump stops, secondary springs etc. one thing he said was you could move the aero up and down, move the spring rates up and down and this may fix it. He mentioned some other stuff but I forgot exactly what it was - something about editing your set up in a text editor to fix it if it is really broken

    I did fix that setup by moving aero up saving then loading it again, then I was able to put aero back to where it was. This setup did break during the session and was from a 1.3.11 agressive base at Misano which simply broke during the session.

    There have been a few guys saying the cars feeling weird and generally it may break something minor so you wont even know. When it breaks it properly like mine you can easily see something has gone to :poop: but other times you may be chasing something in a broken setup which kind of sucks so hope they fix this asap.

    Will be a change in weather after another disaster Wednesday run with every session other then first 10 min of practice wet and most were thunderstorms. Pretty much undriveable with a regular setup and this with fairly conservative dynamic weather settings. This means dynamic weather will be disabled until at least 1.4 where we will test again if its more useable otherwise it will likely stay dry the rest of the season.

    Shame as the weather is well done but with next to no control over the weather in server settings and the line added to avoid undriveable conditions only makes it white thunderstorms instead of yellow ones.

    That's actually a shame, as much as I hate driving in the rain it adds a cool dynamic to the races. The fear of it raining is always in the back of my mind lol.

    But completely understandable with what you're doing, it seems like it's a broken part of the game at the moment.

    Must admit it's a sigh of relief now :D

    I'm pretty sure my video is public... go to 1:24:45 - was more bordering on character building than anything else

    Its a shame and with 1.4 due this month its likely this will be more useable as this patch is meant to address ui and server settings. A decent forecast and better server control over max rain and possibility of rain would make the dynamic weather much better.

    The rain is cool and adds a bit of unpredictability but 2 wednesdays in a row were a complete washout. It was a typo in config the week before that explained it but this time we had weather setup using setting a little more conservatove then line 24 in the chart below.
    [IMG]
    Also combined with this line to limit extreme weather as quoted below.

    Well it works in a way that it avoids the yellow thunderstorm, which is completly undriveable if more then a couple minutes but it still seems to stick with white thunderstorm more often then anything else. Its a long way from the guide and last season we had a couple of those big flood races including silverstone which seems more prone to biblical storms. :D

    Here is the actual weather setup that was used but clearly 6x time scale and 108 munutes of sessions on wednesday at 6x time scale simulating 648 minutes with 80% of this thunderstorm something clearly is wrong with this atm.
    Code:
      "simracerWeatherConditions":1,
      "ambientTemp":19,
      "trackTemp":25,
      "cloudLevel":0.17000001192092898,
      "rain":0.055,
      "weatherRandomness":3,

    Hey Marty,when dynamic weather is disabled, does that mean temperature still changes, and just no rain?

    Temperature will still go up and down with time of day, cloud cover stays constant as does rain amount if its setup but neither of these can change. You can set a constant amount of rain or no rain and cloud cover is also either a constant level or dynamic. This means temps will be fairly predictable as with dynamic cloud cover is meant to also change temperature, constant clouds will not allow any variation other then time of day. The track will still also change during sessions building up over the weekend.

    Server 1 is setup the same as race night but there is still likely a bug that first person in the server running empty for a while breaks the session times. If the session times shown in the server dont match the actual time if your first in you can leave and rejoin and this should fix the session times error.

    Also all season runners should be set as admin for all servers, this allows you to skip sessions. Only on the Monday race night has limited admins during the official race but should be all admin the rest of the week.

    The only way to eliminate the chance of a full race night getting washed out with heavy storms is set the dynamic weather so low its pretty much the same as turning it off. But even the most conservative settings if you get that 5% chance of rain this seems likely to be a storm now, if randomness os low then it will be all session. If time scale is low its even more likely to be all sessions so I think in general like the lobby atm this is pretty broken. It may be the 1.3.10 patch that broke it so will test again but on non race nights in future to see if they fix this.

    If it looks fixed we will bring it into another wednesday test and then back to Mondays, otherwise safest to just keep no chance of rain until this is addressed in some way.

    @andyo450 was saying new update introduced harder wear on front tires if you were overturning wheel... @Kcender87 said his tires fell off a cliff last Monday's race
