Could this be the answer to some of our issues with people not seeing each other? If we're all in the same club it may not matter that we have everyone on our friends list? Maybe it will help with stability? We need to try this stuff out and see what can be achieved, or even if it's still the same old network crap at least we'll know. Thoughts/feedback?
From using it in the GTPlanet WEC series, I have to say 16 people joining simultaneously from many different places from over the globe, the connections are quite stable. Load times are a little slower, but rarely is there a Dsc or incompatability error. However there are still times when you cannot see other cars unfortunately.
Why not,it could help with stability, definitely privacy, cause it'd have to be on it's own server farm.As far as ppl not seeing each other it's 100% about blocked ports. Think about it @Ad2mny on sunday there were big problems when McCracken was 2nd into the room of no-one below him seeing anybody then in the 2nd room, fubbles came in 4th and ppl below couldn't see,but when we got into another room with him and Mcracken down the bottom all was good, except for Tanktex & his issues were his own making apparently as he got a new modem but didn't reconfigure it. The only problem after that was once again fubbles lag from his telstra POS modem and the wear being wrong after all the ing around. I think no-one really took notice of tyres during qually cause we were all over the hassles, lol. We might as well test it this week before sunday, maybe with a rerun
You would only not see the lobby if it's club only. You can have public club lobbies, but for Sunday's, yes you will need to be in the club as they will be club only.
