    Cliffside Classic
    Jul 27 - Aug 3
Course: The House On The Cliff
    Par: 71
    Rounds 4:
Difficulty: 6.5/10: A course with some truly amazing elevation changes and ultra narrow fairways, club selection and shot placement will be the winner here.
    Predicted Winning Score: -32

A classic course of the 2K series since The Golf Club 2019, this layout was updated to Official treatment, and has become a favourite of many. A challenging course especially when the wind is blowing hard, you’ll need to pull out all the stops to succeed here.

It’s a pretty good course this one. Some good risk reward. Some can’t miss it there and a bit of really can’t miss it there

Bit of an FYI for future events, I’ll only be doing hole by hole previews for the more difficult courses, as these do take up a fair chunk of time to complete, not to mention imgur being a royal pain in the ass as of late.

I have no idea if these following courses are in the game but here is my suggestion:
How about a Grand Theft Auto leg?
Indian Creek Country Club (Leaf Links in Vice City)
Angel Park (Yellow Bell in Las Venturas)
Los Angeles Country Club (Los Santos Golf Club)

    The Quest Of The Vikings
    Aug 4 - 10
    Course: Vikingklubbens Grotte
    Par: 70
    Rounds: 4:
Course Difficulty: 5/10 A wide open links course with phenomenal views, making the most of varying angles to the pin will be key to victory here.
    Predicted Winning Score: -35

This fantasy course is set in the coastal regions of Norway, wide open fairways, plateaued greens, crazy elevation changes and spectacular vistas all combine to create a truly unique golfing experience. The tee boxes in particular aren’t staggered, instead they are split into different positions across the fairway.

The opening hole is a dog leg right Par 5 with danger on all sides. You must avoid the bunkers off the tee and on the second shot if you want a birdie. The third shot must carry a stream but land short of the cliff to find the green. [IMG]

The second hole is a straight forward Par 3 with 3 massive bunkers protecting the front and rear. The large green offers many varying pin placements. [IMG]

The 3rd is a spectacular downhill dogleg right Par 5. Hit your drive hard over the trees to find a wide open fairway, as you’ll need all the distance you can get in order to reach the green. Another large drop can wreak havoc with club selection, which is critical for attacking this small but well protected green.[IMG]

The 4th is similar to the previous hole, but you’ll need to watch your carry off the tee as the ball can easily roll off into the rough. The approach is downhill again and allows the player to shoot a wedge and land it high and soft. [IMG]

Stepping onto the tee at #5, those with a fear of heights will be weak at the knees at this downhill dog leg left Par 4. The fairway is over a 100m below the tee so let it fly! Risk takers can try to take on the trees to create an easier second shot into this large and undulating green. [IMG]

This short Par 3 may seem easy on paper, but the green is well protected by a series of bunkers which will punish any mis hit. Pins on the right side are especially treacherous.

Another Par 5, the 7th demands a long tee shot through a winding fairway, that should be placed on the left centre. Reaching the green in two is possible but you’ll need to carry the river and hope your shot lands as soft as possible to avoid rolling through the green.[IMG]

The island green 8th is another short Par 3, but this one shouldn’t pose too much of a problem even if it is surrounded by water and 2 massive bunkers. The real danger is undulation. 3 distinct tiers make putting a real nightmare. [IMG]

Hole 9 is a real sleeper of a hole. The fairways are huge and split down the middle by a small stream. But get too cocky and you’ll be whistling bogey in no time. Carry the water on your approach to setup the putt for birdie. [IMG]

The 10th is a straight away Par 4 through the rocks. Play hole from the right in order to minimise the angle to the green, which is small sectioned off away from the landing area. This is another hole that can spring a surprise or two.[IMG]

11 is a tough Par 3 over water. Accuracy is the everything here, keep your tee shot on the green or you’ll pay the price. The green is two tiered, so be sure to use it as a back stop if see the pin tucked in front.

Hole 12 is a very unique Par 5. The fairway has sunken into the lake and thus setting up the second shot is vital. You need to allow yourself room to hit over the rockface in order to reach the green. This may be a very short Par 5, but a birdie is a very good score here. [IMG]

Hole 13 is an exciting Par 4 that’s drivable off the tee if you can carry if over the river. There’s trouble everywhere if you miss, so take the safe option if you’re not up to the task. Missing the green right or long is a certain bogey.

Hole 14 is a dogleg right Par 4. Avoid the 2 massive sprawling bunkers to leave the easiest approach into a large but very bumpy green. Get the approach close, you do not want to be lag putting on this hole.

The last Par 5 is reachable in two, but requires a fade from the fairway. A huge bunker on the left shifts the target area to the right, brining the tree line into play. The green is massive and very undulating, take your time lining up your putt. [IMG]

The 16th is a narrow Par 4 with the river coming into play. If you find the fairway you’ll have a tricky downhill approach shot into a green that slopes severely from front to back, so plenty of backspin is required.

The 17th is an amazing Par 3 over a cliff and waterfall. The mist makes it difficult to see the pin from the tee, so shot placement in the middle of the green is the best play. It’s hard to stop the ball with such a long distance so be sure to add backspin. [IMG]

The closing hole is fairly tame Par 4 to end things. There’s plenty of room to miss but if you miss too far on either side you’ll be hitting 3 off the tee. The green is large and inviting, so it’s a great birdie chance. [IMG]

    Genesis Invitational
    18 - 24 Aug
    Course: Riviera CC
    Par: 71
    Rounds: 4
Course Difficulty: 5/10: A proper TOUR layout, narrow fairways and tucked greens provide most of the challenge here.

The Los Angeles Open has been held at Riviera almost every year since 1973. The tournament has held many names, but is most notable for being the first PGA Tour event Tiger Woods participated in as a 16 year old amateur. The course is notable for its famous 6th hole, where a bunker is slapped bang in the middle
    of the green!

    Citadel Classic
    1 - 6 Sep
    Course: Machu Picchu Country Club
    Par: 71
    Rounds: 4
Course Difficulty: 7/10: While it might seem to be a simple and short layout, this is one of the most undulating courses you’ll ever play. Use your lie grid on every shot and calculate accordingly. The greens are multiple tiered and unfair, ball position is critical.
    Predicted Winning Score: -27

The Machu Picchu is an ancient 15th century citadel located in a South Peru mountain range. Sounds like the perfect place for a golf course! Listed as a world heritage site in 1983, it remains a top tourist destination for world travellers and history buffs alike. You wont play a course like this, anywhere else. The fairways, bunkers and greens are all laid out on the natural surface, with no excavation used to manufacture the playing areas, creating a unique and ultimately tough round of golf.

    The Beat Down
    8 - 14 Sep
    Course: BeatsGlades Country Club
    Par: 68
    Rounds 4:
Course Difficulty: 6/10: A relatively simple layout, however paper thin fairways, tight greens, severely tiered greens and water hazards placed close to the greens can quickly turn a good round into a disaster.

This is the first course to be used for an event that has been created by one of our own players, @Beats143! Will he come out on top on home turf?
