Race Start Procedure
- All races will have a manual double file race start
- Drivers must form up from the moment double file race start is announced by race engineer.
- Drivers are to maintain 70kms from the exit of the 2nd last corner. Small increases and decreases are allowed to form the grid.
- The Lead 2 drivers must travel at adequate pace for the grid to form. This will mean they need to slow down at times. check the map
- Drivers are not to weave or excessively increase speed once the race start is announced.
- Drivers need to be side by side with their row partner.
- Drivers must maintain a reasonable gap to the cars ahead prior to the lights going green, regardless of the speed of the cars ahead.
- GO on the GREEN light, regardless of where on track the green light is given.
- Race start will be saved by the commentary team.
Lap 1
Lap 1 turn 1 - 3 is a hotspot for carnage. It is inevitable. Take extra caution to brake early & stay in you lane through the Turn 1 - 3.
Race start will be a long formation lap and double file race start with the UI showing. Make sure you stay side by side with your grid partner. You will need to watch the Proximity Indicator to line up with the car beside.
If a server restart is required then the formation lap will be manual without the UI.
Pitlane
You can cross the pit exit line as long as it is safe to do so and you do not cause a collision.
Blue Flags
A reminder of the blue flag rules. you must concede track position to drivers on the lead lap within a reasonable time frame. If you are battling for position with another driver some concession can be made, but at your next available opportunity (such as before the braking zone on a straight), you should concede track position. A rule of thumb for a reasonable time frame is within four corners.
Yellow Flags
There are a number of blind corners and crests at this circuit. Make note of yellow flag warnings and listen to the race engineer. Caution should be take to avoid making accidents worse.
Protest Reporting
If you wish to protest can incident from the race then your first point of contact will be your team captain. The onus is on you to provide replay footage for the protest, make sure you have a button mapped to save replays.
Good luck
