Ok everyone..... Hope we all have a great season..... you all know the drill.....
IS a few new drivers @Matsbox, Brenticles, @D1chef25 @OKCMVP_ and a few in div 4.... Guys, please make sure you understand our rules etc all outlined below.... Everyone else, no excuses for racing outside the rules. ;)

    - Only rule confirmation moving forward is the RESET CAR BUTTON and when you can use it.
    - Can only be used IF YOU ARE ON YOUR ROOF OR STUCK ON A BARRIER. Otherwise you must drive back to the track when safe to rejoin. Resetting your car outside of the above WILL RESULT IN A TIME PENALTY.

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    -
RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on those ripple strips or lines at all times.
    - Rubbins racing as they say, however we wont tolerate 'rough' driving. See below !
    -
Car resets : You are allowed to reset your car, but you must do it when safe to do so. If you reset in the path of oncoming traffic, you will be penalised. Remember it will reset you to the middle of track, so oncoming cars cannot avoid you. Its tough watching cars drive past, but dont ruin someones night.

    - Room Disconnects : If you disconnect from the qual room, you may get back in OR the room captain / host may agree to restart the room if you cant get back in.
    - IF YOU DISCONNECT, AND CANT GET BACK IN FOR QUAL, YOU MUST START REAR OF GRID.

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:45 EDST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
    QUALIFYING : 8:10 EDST
RACE START TIME : 8:20 EDST

ROOM RESTARTS : Sometimes there are issues with the room and a new room may need to be started.
    - If a driver is DSC from Qual, they may get back into the qual room with no issue to set a time.
    - If they CANT get back in before race start, then the room host will restart the RACE room (no qual) and that driver MUST start from REAR OF GRID.
    - Will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.
    - Fuel will have to be turned OFF
    - Formation lap is from RACE START, and cars will form up before TURN 1. When formed, cars will stay single file till last corner, where lead car will slow to 80KLMS, and hold the field till they go. (effectively safety car). Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.
    - No passing before start / finish line.

QUALIFYING - This season Pit Lane will be OPEN, so if you want to throw "Soft" tyres on you are free to do so.
    - You will need to set up a pit stop, and then make that stop in the qual to get the tyres to swap.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Round 1 is generally the most common where we see contact issues, particularly if we have drivers who haven't done a lot of practice. If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. Giving room on both sides till you get through the turn 1, 2 and 3,4 complex will see everyone get through without their night being ruined. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night in the first race of the season ;)

TRACK LIMITS : Track limits will remain as they always have, you must have 2 wheels on OR inside the ripple strips at all times. Make a mistake or 2 and thats ok, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.
Is a few places here where you need to remain inside track limits.
    - The main one here at Zuhai is the turn 4-5 complex. Dont run straight through on exit. You must be attempting to stay on the ripple strip on the exit of 5 (about 1 min in juzzy hotlap above)
We all know the rules, so drivers are asked to watch for drivers who may be gaining advantage.

    CONTACT
: Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
Main spots are Turn 1 and the back hairpins, Turns 7 and 11.

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.
    - Up to you what compound you take, you can mix and match, take full soft's or keep the hard tyres on.
    - you WONT NEED FUEL !
If you havent done pit stops before :
    - Make sure you know where the pit entry line is. you must be at 60KLM at the line or you get penalised.
    - Make sure you have you pit controller activated. Is the guy with a big red board only you can see in YOUR pitbay
    - You can adjust the following
    - Brake bias (on the fly with mapped buttons)
    - ABS
    - Traction Control
    - Tire pressures for tyres IF you change them at your stop.

CAR SET UP : There are 2 options for car sets up that people can make.
'LOOSE' or 'STABLE'. It is up to you what setting you use, and it may vary based on the track being used. I would recommend trying both to see what gives the best lap times.
    - For me, the STABLE setting seems the one to be on at Zuhai.

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : We will be running with Pit penalties ON, so will need to make an attempt to enter and exit using the pit lane lines. We have seen people hit with warnings in game, so be aware of staying in the lane.
DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT 60KLMS AT THE PIT ENTRY LINE OR YOU WILL GET DSQ FROM THE RACE IF YOU GO IN TOO HOT.
    - IF SOMEONE IS CAUGHT MISSING THE LANE, THEN GOING INTO THE PITS AND GAINING AN ADVANTAGE YOU WILL BE PENALISED.

PIT EXIT - Is a reasonable run into Turn 1, so you need to make sure you stay right. Drivers on a racelap will have right of way, UNTIL the turn in for turn 1. Then the car IN FRONT has the right to run their line.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : The stewards group will again consist of Myself, Ad2mny and Gary... if you feel the need to protest, you need to make us aware by PM before midnight Monday following the race. You will also need to have Video evidence of your protest, or ask the room host to have a look on their replay. You may appeal any stewards decision, and the final decision will be made by Koastr. If there is an issue in the race
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE ROOM OR ON THE FORUM.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved !

Any question re the above just shoot... We assume that everyone reads this, so no excuses for not knowing the rules and procedures.

Ok guys, on to round 2.
Good job last week at Zuhai, some good racing, close times and not too many issues.

Was only 1 protest, where the driver was found guilty.... We dont like handing out penalties, but non redressed contact and rough driving will see you cop one if found guilty.
The main comment was though, turn 1, lap 1 was cars going too hot from middle, and others not giving enough room.... If all divs get through lap 1 clean this week, @juzzy said a case of beer for all next week ....

    - Please remember the car reset button rule.....
    - Can only be used IF YOU ARE ON YOUR ROOF OR STUCK ON A BARRIER. Otherwise you must drive back to the track when safe to rejoin. Resetting your car outside of the above WILL RESULT IN A TIME PENALTY.

    - Maggots and Beckets
    - Exit of stowe
    - Turn 18, back onto front straight.

    - If you do find yourself offline, be careful rejoining the track, as the off you have in the above spots generally sees you running a strange angle back towards the race line.
We all know the rules, so drivers are asked to watch for drivers who may be gaining advantage.

Ok guys, on to round 3.
The fast, flowing Spa ! Is a fantastic track with plenty of places to set up for a pass. If we use our heads there should be some great racing this weekend.

This is the TWILIGHT RACE, so make sure you run in the shadows as it can be a bit harder to see brake markers etc.....
We had some cracking racing last week, no protests which was good, however there was some close calls with driver contact on lap 1. Remember, get through lap 1, then settle into your battles ;)

    - If they CANT get back in before race start, then the room host will restart the RACE room (no qual) and that driver MUST start from REAR OF GRID.
    - A room restart will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.

    - Fuel will have to be turned OFF
    - Formation lap is from RACE START, and cars will form up before TURN 1. TURN 1 LAP 1 : If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. The first lap through Eu Rouge will be tough, so i would say best to stay single file through there and give room. Giving room on both sides till you get through the Eu Rouge will see things settle by the time you get to Les Combes. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night on the first lap ;)

    -
The obvious one is Eu Rouge... Drivers continually or purposely cutting here WILL BE PENALISED. We have had drivers been DSQ for continually cutting here in race, so please observe and remain within track limits
    - TURNS 16 and 18 (onto the back straight and the left kink half way along) you must not continually run wide.
    - The bus-stop or Turns 19/20 chicane.... Anyone caught straight lining here to gain time will be penalised.

    - If you do find yourself offline, be careful rejoining the track, as the off you have in the above spots generally sees you running a strange angle back towards the race line.
We all know the rules, so drivers are asked to watch for drivers who may be gaining advantage.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.

    - PARTICULARLY the brake zones in the chicanes.... Turns 7/8/9 and 19/20.

    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : YES.

    - Up to you what compound you take, you can mix and match, take full soft's or keep the hard tyres on.
    - you WONT NEED FUEL !

DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT 60KLMS AT THE PIT ENTRY LINE OR YOU WILL GET DSQ FROM THE RACE IF YOU GO IN TOO HOT.
    - Can be a tough lane to enter when in traffic. Please be wary of those around you.
PIT EXIT - Is a reasonable run into Eu Rouge, so you need to make sure you stay right. Drivers on a race lap will have right of way, UNTIL the turn in at the bottom of the hill. Then the car IN FRONT has the right to run their line. There is plenty of space for cars and plenty of time to see cars exiting pits.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

Alright you lot ...... Sprint round time !
Please note different race start time for each race and different weather slots.

Wanted to say thanks to everyone who has shown up for the first 3 rounds, not too many issues, and some great racing.
WIth reverse grid in race 2 here, you will have to show patience, this track is hard to pass, but its wide enough you can set it up for yourself. Both races should be a cracker .....

For our new drivers, please have a quick read and understand our track limit and contact rules.
    - RACEONOZ have run track limits as the ripple strips or white lines on the track for many seasons. You need to have 2 wheels on those ripple strips or lines at all times.
    - Rubbins racing as they say, however we wont tolerate 'rough' driving. See below !

    - A room restart will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.

    - Fuel will have to be turned OFF
    - Formation lap is from RACE START, and cars will form up before TURN 1. When formed, cars will stay single file till last corner, where lead car will slow to 100KLMS, and hold the field till they go. (effectively safety car). Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.

    - No passing before start / finish line.

QUALIFYING - This season Pit Lane will be OPEN, so if you want to throw "Soft" tyres on you are free to do so.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. The track is wide, so stay in your 'lane' till the grid shakes out, normally by turns 4/5.
Take extra effort to not ruin someones night on the first lap ;)

TRACK LIMITS : Track limits will remain as they always have, you must have 2 wheels on OR inside the ripple strips at all times. Make a mistake or 2 and that's OK, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.
    - Not really anywhere here where you can cut to gain an advantage, however normal rules will apply

    SPRINT ROUND DETAILS :
    COMPULSORY PIT STOP : NO

    - Race 1 is started in qualifying order.
    - Race 2 has 1 lap added for the rolling start, no qualifying
    - At the start if race 2, drivers will line up in reverse order from race 1, normally by the end of turn 2
    - I normally keep my mic on for this process
    - Make sure someone has a pic of the race 1 results so you can check where everyone needs to be
    - I generally add this to the div chat after race 1 finishes.
    - Once in correct order, the lead driver will lead the field around the track in single file.

    - At turn 14, the lead driver will slow to 100kph, and all drivers will bunch up single file.
    - On the exit of turn 15, the lead driver will 'go' flat to race pace, and the race will begin
    - NO passing till the start finish line.

    - POINTS - Race 1 full points - Race 2 half points - points are combined from both races to find overall round position.

CAR SET UP : There are 2 options for car sets up that people can make.
'LOOSE' or 'STABLE'. It is up to you what setting you use, and it may vary based on the track being used. I would recommend trying both to see what gives the best lap times.
    - For me, the STABLE setting seems the one to be on again.

Ok Guys and Gal, back to a full race this week, WET TO DRY Fuji !
Was a couple of issues last week, Only Div 1 was protested though. Details are in the stewards thread.
Some things to note for this round and moving forward
    -
Some drivers are / were unaware that there is a DRIVER INDICATOR available to everyone. This is an option that shows arrows on your screen where other cars are behind or around you, and how close they are. If you dont know how to turn this on please ask us, its in your driver options in the main menu.
    -
You WILL need to change tyres from WET to SLICK in your pit stop. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE TYRE CHANGE SET TO 'ALL' ...... NOT 'RECOMMENDED'.
    - TEST your pit stop a few times to make sure it works... Has been a few guys who have had to delete all their pitstops and make a new one to get it to work.

See below !
    - Car resets : You are allowed to reset your car, but you must do it when safe to do so.

    - A room restart will be a ROLLING START with formation lap based on Qual results from qual session from drivers who finished the qual session.

    - Fuel will have to be turned OFF
    - Formation lap is from RACE START, and cars will form up before TURN 1. When formed, cars will stay single file till last corner, where lead car will slow to 80KLMS, and hold the field till they go. (effectively safety car). Once the lead car accelerates , all other drivers can assume that the race has started.

    - No passing before start / finish line.

QUALIFYING - Will be WET this week.... Best to get straight out before the track puddles up.... This is when the fastest laps are set.

    - If you make a mistake on your flyer DONT RUIN someone else lap with a dodgy line or track entry.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : If you are mid or back of the pack, please make extra effort to slow into turn 1 and not dive-bomb into the mid pack. The wet track makes this a no brainer ! Brake at the first marker on the left fence, if you are towards the back. Take extra effort to not ruin someones night on the first lap ;)

TRACK LIMITS : Track limits will remain as they always have, you must have 2 wheels on OR inside the ripple strips at all times. Make a mistake or 2 and thats ok, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.

    - The exit of Turn 3 (coca-cola)
    - 10/11/12 complex at end of back straight.

    - PARTICULARLY the big brake zones at the end of the main straight, turn 6 hairpin and the back straight

    - Make sure you have your pit controller activated.

    - Can be a tough lane to enter when in traffic. Please be wary of those around you.
PIT EXIT - Make sure you stay RIGHT on exit, up to the brake zone for turn 1. Be carefull of puddles in the brake zone when you go to the slicks

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved !

    JUZZY HOTLAP :

Round 7, where the hell did that season go !

Some things to note for this round
    - Cant stress enough, if you are mid pack or further back off the start brake at about the 200 m mark.... Dont screw up someones night by trying to make positions into turn 1 the first lap through. Get through clean, and enjoy what will be a drafting race, should give lots of 'racing' !
    - You will need to add fuel for this race. The car starts on 70L, and from my calculations you will need 150L to get home, based on my fuel of 3L per lap. 1 stop for 2x40L or 1 stop and add 80L.
    - Know where your light switch is ! Pretty hard to race through the night session in the dark !!
    - In the night session, the track temp drops till about 22*
    -
CLEAR YOUR REPLAYS SO YOU CAN SAVE AS MUCH OF THE RACE AS YOU CAN !
    - Some drivers are / were unaware that there is a DRIVER INDICATOR available to everyone. This is an option that shows arrows on your screen where other cars are behind or around you, and how close they are. If you dont know how to turn this on please ask us, its in your driver options in the main menu.

Take extra effort to not ruin someones night on the first lap ;)

Make a mistake or 2 and thats ok, but making CLEAR advantage from cutting the track will see you penalised. If you do it consistently, you may even be DSQ from the race.

    - TURN 1 : Pretty obvious spot here guys, don't cut to the left

    - Turns 3 and 7 chicanes. Is pretty obvious here if someone cuts to gain advantage.
    - With the track being so fast, make sure you are aware of oncoming cars if you are recovering back on track. Particularly if you have spun on the exit of the chicanes.

    - If you do find yourself offline, be careful rejoining the track, as the off you have in the above spots generally sees you running a strange angle back towards the race line.
We all know the rules, so drivers are asked to watch for drivers who may be gaining advantage.

    - you WILL NEED FUEL ! As i said above, 150L should get you home so you will have to add 80L

    - Brake bias (on the fly with mapped buttons)
    - ABS

PIT ENTRY / EXIT : We will be running with Pit penalties ON, so will need to make an attempt to enter and exit using the pit lane lines. We have seen people hit with warnings in game, so be aware of staying in the lane.

DONT FORGET TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT 60KLMS AT THE PIT ENTRY LINE OR YOU WILL GET DSQ FROM THE RACE IF YOU GO IN TOO HOT. It is a short run in, so brake
    - Can be a tough lane to enter when in traffic. Please be wary of those around you.

PIT EXIT - Make sure you stay RIGHT on exit, up to the brake zone for turn 1.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

You will also need to have Video evidence of your protest, or ask the room host to have a look on their replay. You may appeal any stewards decision, and the final decision will be made by Koastr. That’s gold...I did that at spa and had to retire in an online race because I got wedged between the walls.
