    Bathurst 1000 Tribute 2021 - 3rd Edition

Most likely this will be the last time for this race on GTS, so some early notice, and some history to hopefully make the last edition on GTS the best yet.
I did make an error in the handicapping of the first edition. I did this through following the format too closely of the only other ROOZ Time Handicapped race, the prestigious ROC.
There were 3 different Divisions represented on the podium in the first year year, but an adjustment was made to avoid 1st lap battles to enable more drivers to be “in it” at the pointy end of the race the 2nd year. I nearly got it right with the first 9 within 7 secs of eachother and 2 divs on podium but the race ended as the best battles were about to begin. The race was nearly pulled off by Easyprey but some improving Div2 drivers got under my and his guard. Room 2 last year there was 2 secs between the podium. Obviously my aim this year is to have the battles start earlier at the pointy end of the race.
I will again in the fine judgments of the handicapping favor the lower Divs.
I have a plethora of info for my handicapping this year, from the driver ratings from Vardz and Jono’s from times past, Viper's series along with SCNG S2 from the present, and the tried and true division times from Matthyus.
As with both years, all handicaps will be transparent and will have fluid adjustment, especially as later entries come in. Scrutiny and helpful input to the handicapping from all involved would be appreciated.
Handicaps will begin to be released in November. Rough handicap order and room/s I may start on beforehand. Order of entry if there are 2 rooms will not be the sole decider of the rooms. What is determined best for the respective rooms racing will over-rule.

All other regulations and rules as per Season races.

Bathurst 1000 Liveries present and retro, only.

**Please err to being over respectful on track to eachother.
This especially please for the higher Divs toward lower Divs and even visa versa.
Be smart, battling won't help at any time in this race apart from the last few laps.
Better to try and stay in a slipstream to save fuel, or work together bump drafting, than to battle or defend which will only cost you time.
Also the specs have been set to open up a multitude of pit options for strategy/avoiding traffic. I have found another sweet spot for the car, it is more lively and requires more skill around the mountain.
Pit entry and exit just do not impede, be careful of the game spitting you out to the right on exit and check for traffic upon exit.
Your starting time/handicap is your responsibility to know, and to start at that time, not before.
It is an honor system that can easily be checked after the race.

    Qualifying Hot-Stint
Final handicaps will be at the discretion of the organisers, but to help with fine-tuning, all entered drivers must go through the following offline qualifying procedure at least once to help with setting handicaps. The process can be repeated as many times as you like and this is encouraged as will allow for more accurate handicap calculations and better racing for everyone. Being an offline procedure it is critical that the correct race conditions are used for the data to be valid. We are also relying on the honour system here, as it is entirely possible to deliberately set slower laps and/or incorrect specs to gain an advantage for the race. Obviously this is discouraged and I'm sure we are all here for a close and enjoyable race rather than an easy win!

Go to: Arcade > Custom Race > Bathurst 15:30 > choose the Gr.3 Mustang and set the following conditions:
    - 6 Laps
    - 2 Cars
    - Starting Grid 1
    - Grid Start
    - Boost Off
    - Slipstream Real
    - Damage None
    - Tyre Wear 2x
    - Fuel Depletion 4x
    - Grip Reduction Real
    - Overtake Default
    - Category One-Make
    - Difficulty Professional
    - Shortcut Penalty None
    - Wall Collision Penalty None
    - Correct Vehicle Course Off
    - Replace Cars Off
    - Flag Rules On
    [IMG]

IMPORTANT: Ensure the car Settings are:
    - BOP Off
    - Default Tune
    - 108% Power
    - 85% Weight
    - Racing Soft Tyres
    [IMG]

Complete the 6 lap race and at the end of the race, long hold the "Share" button to screenshot the race timing screen and send this screenshot via PSN message to UrsineSaturn9
    [IMG]

Repeat this process as often as you like and all laps should be at a representative pace. If you have any major offs, then perhaps try again or at least mention this in your message.

Note that that organisers retain the right to make any discretionary changes to the handicaps as required.

There is a common age related thread with the "entries" which could mean forgetting what you have just read, or thinking it is October, I can relate.
I will open entries before the 24/10 if I have the specs sorted sooner.
