After a few seasons of GT and touring cars, which race really nicely BTW, anybody got other ideas? Keep in mind, it needs to drive well across 3 divisions so no psychopath handling quirks plz!
I know this will possibly go down like a lead balloon, but I think a single oval race would be exciting for a change. Obviously going to be polarising suggestion. Maybe as the sprint round with shorter races and the reverse grid main race.
Cars I've driven this week: Audi R8 V10+ Road - Awesome, AWD drifts anywhere! Lotus 40 - Only turns while sliding. Mr Plough. Lotus 49C - SO so good but Open wheeler, likes being driven hard/on power. Mclaren F1 Road - Ridiculous power. Too much on road tyres. Mitsu Lancer Evo X FQ400 - Turn in oversteer dominates, clumsy in slow corners, fun in faster stuff. Nissan 240ZG - Slightly underpowered & understeery, but not bad. Porsche GT3RS road - Lovely. Previous seasons testing notes: Audi R8 LMS - Lovely BAC - Mono - Too lively Cadillac ATS-V - Junk steering Caterham SP/300.R - Too much front end? F288gto - No brakes! F330P4 - Nice, too fast? F365GTB4 - Nice, Heavy steering F488 Challenge - WoW that's torque! Too much! Ford FG V8SC - Too twitchy? Ford GT40Mk4 - Nice but too much car? Ginetta LMP3 - Nice, too fast. Ginetta G55 GT3 - PERFECT. KTM X-Bow GT4 - NO! Lambo Huracan GT3 - Noice! McLaren 650s GT3 - Nice but squishy feel. Merc 190E DTM - Reluctant to turn then drifts! Not great. R34 SMS-R - CLUNKY, Engine redlines at 7,500???!!! Waste. Radical SR8 -Warp Speed! Only grips up on full attack. (Too fast/much?) Radical SR3 - Nice to drive, but underpowered. Bit Tail heavy.
not at all mate, we actually did some laps last night in the indy car on one of the ovals and it was good. Def food for thought, probs a bit more testing tomorrow night (sunday)
