Just gave Christiaan's pure FFB custom settings a go and it's brilliant, highly recommend you try it.
I was on the verge of refunding the game until I installed it. Tried a couple of others just for comparison and this was by far the best, at least for my wheel. Gives so much more feedback to correct slides I can actually control the Kart now instead of just looping out all the time.

I am running a
Fanatec CSL elite PS4 version. Settings as below.
On wheel
Tweaked DRI, others default / as per Fanatec recommendations:
https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/654/project-cars-2-pc-fanatec-recommended-settings
- SEN 1080 (shown as 108 on some displays)
- FF 100
- SHO 100 (seems to have no effect)
- ABS OFF
- DRI -02
- FOR 100
- SPR 100 (only effects game menu)
- DPR 100 (no effect)
- FEI 020*
*FEI 080 as recommended by Fanatec causes terrible and noisy rattling in vehicles like the Kart, which masks the steering feel and is very distracting. FEI 040 is tolerable, some effect remains even at 000 to 010. 020 is a nice balance of mostly smooth while giving some feel in corners with a broken surface where the Kart visibly chatters. Adjust to personal preference.
In Game FFB
Tweaked gain from Christiaan's recommendations for
Belt Driven wheels
- Flavour: Custom, file applied is LSS (oscillation reduction) with Standard FX
- Gain: 90 (reduced slightly to give smoother feel around centre)
- Volume: Adjust to suit car and personal preference, map a button to be able to quickly adjust in car:
- 40 baseline
- 50 - 60 heavy (e.g. Kart)
- 30 - 40 light (e.g. power steering sports car i.e. Porsche 918 Spyder)
- Tone: 50
- FX: 25
In Game other settings all pretty standard except I set deadzone to zero on everything.
@Anthonyb definitely give this a go mate, info at the links if you have a different wheel.
