@rossi0nsx can you host this if we get enough numbers this sunday ?
Will run a meet and greet this sunday as well ..... will run a full length race though to give people a chance to try wear, pit stops and we can see pace and adjust divs if needed before the 'official' meet and greet on the 29th.....
TRACK - Hockenheim GP (won't be used this season)
LAPS - 26
GAME DATE : Default to summer... becomes 1/6/17
FUEL : Normal
WEATHER SLOTS : 4 - clear / light cloud / heavy cloud / clear
Compulsory pit stop
tire wear - Accelerated
10 min qual....Approx 45 min race
Start at 8:10 as per usual.....
If we dont get many numbers we will run a mixed div grid, however would be good to get guys in their divs to compare pace.
- I would suggest a short 5 lap race with a comp pit stop so people know what to expect with the pit stop BEFORE doing the longer 45 min race.
Do a few laps there before sunday so you know what the track is like....might do some tonight
I have been updating the season regs in the OP slowly, keep an eye out there so your on top of it.
Some things to know for the guys that havent done many laps yet...
- PIT LANE : you need to be at 60 KLMS at the pit lane or you will be DSQ in the race. If you have a limiter mapped, you will need to press that on exit from your pit box / garage to stay at 60. If you DONT have it mapped, you will default to 60 with full throttle, but will need to slow down to 60 well before the pit entry line...once you go over the entry line you can go full throttle and it defaults back to 60...same on exit from the pitbox.....
- Manual pit lane : you will need to drive into your pit bay manually.....It wont drive in for you like PC1
- PIT STOP OPTIONS : Can be done 2 ways.....
1. setting up a pit strat and selecting that (making it active) before race start.
2. You can adjust this on the fly using the pit menus, but you do need to know your way around it. I think for me its a left press of the DPad on my wheel and it throws up a menu to scroll through. I would suggest everyone tries it to see what suits best for them, and that it gives what you need out of your pit stop
If room captains can save fastest lap times would be great. is a good way to compare and make adjustments to div placement where needed. The room host will need to get them before you exit the result screen or they will be gone !
If anyone can see anything that has been missed just let me know....rather than reply, can just like post so we know how many we will have on sunday.
