I havent yet heard any details about integration with the PSVR which i'll expect they'll flog to death with marketing material closer to release. Also it'll be interesting to see how they managed the BoP for the manufacturers cup given the vast differences between brands and the cars they offer.
The tyre squeal in Jono's video sounds much better, more realistic. The Corvette sounds a lot better but still a touch synthesised, must be tough to get right for V8s?...looking much better than first glance/listen at any rate. Completely different game, but listen to this for a V8 sound effect...
I'm finding the HUD a little weird at the moment... Showing us our speed and gear number twice on two different dials *Technically 3 speedos*? Although car sounds nicer than previous cars
Bugger...oh well. It still looks like it is quite early in development. I expect huge improvement before the actual game is launched.
Looks like PD have claimed all of the direct footage videos uploaded on the GTPlanet youtube channel. Why?!? What was the point of letting them record footage (which generated positive vibes after the disasterous live stream) if they were just going to claim them anyway? Seems like a really dumb decision to me.
No weather or time transitions in GT Sport. I'm not too concerned by that, especially when the reason (or excuse if you want to see it that way) is to maintain a strong and consistent frame rate. 20 car grids at 60FPS will be pretty awesome, let's just hope the online holds up! Being an online focused game, I'm sure they've thrown plenty of resources at it.
I'm annoyed, I loved being able to simulate real endurance races and of course most notably, take part in full endurance races such as the 24hrs of Daytona and Nürburgring on GTP. Of course we can still do that but no time or weather change? What is this, 2004?
More than anything, GT needs to add the ability to focus on the track in front of you, whilst being aware what is going on behind at the same time. And for that to be the case in any view. More info than just the left or right arrows which don't tell you if someone is actually along side or just behind to 1 side. That's the biggest thing I struggle with, and it's probably just lack of experience, but having to look back all of the time screws with my timing on brake and turn in points.
dont you run the rear vision mirror ? I used to run bumper view in GT6 and seem to remember the rear mirror and arrows being good enough ?
